Great vacuum, great price.
I bought this when I moved into my house with a combination of hard floors and carpets. The suction is excellent but I find it difficult to vacuum over rugs as it just lifts them up - use the attachments to clean rugs and sofas etc, as it is too powerful otherwise. It's no louder than any other plug in cleaner, and after having a rubbish Dyson that can't manage even regular debris, this thing is a god-send. This vacuum does "lift away" so you can carry it around and upstairs or use it to vacuum the ceiling. Very handy. The only minor complaint that I have is that the cable management is not very good - and you will spend a lot of time wrapping and unwrapping the cable unless you exclusively use this for floors: this is because the cable hooks are located on the base of the vacuum cleaner and on the handle, so if you want to take the handle out, you have to unwind all of the cable. The cable is very long though, so you won't have any trouble getting it where you need to. I recommend for any 2 bedroom house or smaller.

Very powerful but squeaky!
Powerful suction!! I replaced my old Shark after it could not be fixed after many years of use. As my old Shark hadn’t been able to properly hoover my carpet upstairs for some days, you should have seen the dust and hair it collected in the compartment, and we’re not dirty! The pile on the carpet was given a new lease of life too! I really like this Shark but the only thing to note is the squeak. Upon pushing the Shark away from me and pulling it back toward me it does squeak! I’m hoping this won’t cause it to become ‘tight’ or difficult to push as time goes on. I’m assuming this is a one off Shark?

Huge disappointment coming from ancient Dyson DC04
Coming from an ancient Dyson. On a hard floor and on carpet, the brush head is very narrow. Vacuuming takes an age of forwards / backwards, forwards / backwards to cover a large area. The weight. Instead of all the weight being at floor level, it us part-way up the handle. The vacuum is unweildy and is awkward to manoeuvre. Using a tool for stair cleaning. Instead of just the pipe and a small tool, You have to use the massive handle and tool, which cannot be removed from the pipe. More importantly, after the usual time vacuuming in the same house the dust container had only a third of what I expected from the weekly job. ie. The Shark has only collected a third of what my old vacuum did. I wish I'd stayed with a repaired, old, well-proven vacuum instead of this. Less power and simply not as good for the intended use. Money wasted. I wish I'd done more research before my purchase.

Great suction but big and heavy
Vacuums nicely. Chunky so not easy to manoeuvre. I’m 5’2” and it seems big - no way to shorten the main pole, which is disappointing! Heavy to use.

Poor suction
I bought this hoover to replace an excisting shark hoover i had , which was excellent . Unfortunatly this model is very disappointing , the suction is awful compared to my previous hoover from shark and as another buyer commented, it did not come with the extra tools stated and does seem very flimsy

Hopeful but disappointed
Just unpacked it, same model as I currently have, but it seems flimsier and despite the fact it states three tools, there are only two. Haven't used it yet but I hope it is as good as my old one. It also states on the website that I should have received a free car kit, but I didn't.

Powerful Hoover
Great strong suction! I had a Miele previously for 5 years and was advised to try a shark and I must say this model in particular is excellent it’s made my carpets feel brand new again and I’m so surprised by the amount of dust and dirt it picks up. I do think it’s a little heavy but I can leave with that as suction and ease of emptying it is 10/10 o have a pet cat and the anti-wrap picking up all the hairs and me not having to detangle the brushes is really good!
