I waited for a very long time to get this, I had my stand mixer although to be honest made a few cakes and then was a bit stumped with some other recipes. When I saw this was back in stock I was so happy I couldn't contain my excitement! I didn't realise it would, it was sold out everywhere for ages. I grabbed it in the sale and got it for less, haven't used it yet as I don't want to ruin it! Haha I will soon and now I have so many different recipes we can now use. I can use it for savoury aswell as sweet and expand hopefully some cooking skills and tastes.

Not suitable for my needs
This item is well made, with a lovely finish and comes in a very nice box, but it didn't work for me. I shred vegetables each morning for breakfast, and maybe it is the low volume that I am using, but large amount of it remains stuck inside the grating area, on top of the grating area, around the plunger and particularly between the grater and the outer white cover. Because the attachment sticks out so far from the end of the processor, the processor tips if you press on the plunger too heavily (to try to grate the last pieces of veg in the bottom. I was left with not much veg and dirty tools that needed to be dishwashed, all being far too much bother compared with my hand grater and spiralizer. I was hoping for a tool that would speed up my process of preparing veg each morning - this just complicated matters and ended up taking far longer. I have returned the attachment.

Saves time
Great so far, very quick to grate cheese and other foods. I have steered clear of harder items though e.g., carrots because of the reviews saying that plastic part have broken. I think I will try though because it would be handy to be able to do more.

Brilliant gadget
Brilliant gadget works really well and makes grating and slicing things super easy. The only thing i would say is be careful u packaging it. I took it out the packaging and the plastic cylinder fell out and dropped on the floor meaning it’s chipped already. still works but very sad considering its an expensive purchase

The slicer and shredder does slice onions. There are 3x drums to choose how you would like to chop vegetables.
Please note - The slicer and shredder, is an attachment for the Kitchenaid stand mixer.
In order to do bulk chopping, you would need to chop the onion to fit down the tube. To process quickly

Hi there
Having checked with the supplier for you I can let you know the slicer / shredder is a stand mixer attachment -which means it has no motor wattage. It is the stand mixer which provides the power for the attachment to work. This attachment can only be used on a Kitchenaid Stand mixer 4.3L and 4.8L models - they have 300 wattage motors
