Excellent bit of kit.
Bought this to get wifi out in our new garden room which is about 30ft from the router. Followed the installation instructions which were easy & in no time I had wifi out to the garden. Full strength signal which is stable. Only used it so far with the phone for social media as havent yet got a TV installed but see no reason why it shouldn't work well. I bought this with my nectar points so didn't research the price but seemed reasonable given that it has given us wifi out to the garden.

Easy set up
I bought this just over a week ago ,it was easy to set up and I had two rooms in my house with little or no internet . Not any more though areas in house now have good signal and also outside on my decking which is a real bonus .

Would Highly Recommend
Really happy with this product. There were a few different options to choose from, and this one was a bit more expensive, but seemed to offer flexibility on frequency and speed, so I decided on this one over the more basic models. Setup was really straightforward, with a step-by-step walkthrough on an app, so I was up and running in about five minutes. The wifi coverage in my office has jumped from <3Mbps to 150Mbps.

Great Product! 5/5⭐️
This really is a great product. There was a very easy step by step instructions to pair this up with your router which took less than 3 minutes. After that, all set and it is very handy to have an ethernet socket too. Great product! 5/5⭐️

Hello there,
Yes, the TP-Link RE450 AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender works perfectly with Starlink.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi,
The RE450 should work with Wi-Fi 7 routers. TP-Link wireless extenders have broad compatibility with most standard Wi-Fi routers, including those from TP-Link and other brands. Compatibility issues may only occur with routers or gateways using modified, outdated, or non-standard firmware.
From a networking perspective, Wi-Fi 7 routers are backward compatible, meaning they still support older Wi-Fi standards, such as Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) used by the RE450. The RE450 will connect to your Wi-Fi 7 router's 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band and extend the signal as usual.
Note that the RE450 is a Wi-Fi 5 (AC1750) dual-band extender and therefore cannot take advantage of newer Wi-Fi 7 features (such as the 6 GHz band or MLO). It will operate within its own functional range, regardless of which router it connects to.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Shaun,
We generally recommend a distance of eight to twelve meters between the extender and the router.

Hi Amylou,

Yes this will work.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hello James,
I can advise the following for the TP-Link RE450 AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender- 1 Gigabit Port:
You can, however, you would only be boosting the signal from the first booster and not from the main router. Any issues at the first booster will reflect in the second.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Hello Marty,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the TP-Link RE450 AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender- 1 Gigabit Port: ''If the home is built with solid stone walls, this can significantly weaken wireless signals, including those from Starlink. In this case, using a Wi‑Fi extender or relying solely on wireless backhaul may not provide the improvement you expect.
To achieve a more stable and reliable connection, we recommend the following options:
1. Use a wired connection if possible
If you can run an Ethernet cable, connecting our device directly to your Starlink router will give you the best performance, as it avoids the signal loss caused by thick stone walls.
2. Consider Powerline adapters
If wiring is difficult and your home shares the same electrical circuit, Powerline adapters can be a good alternative. They transmit the network through your home’s electrical wiring, reducing reliance on Wi‑Fi signals that struggle to pass through stone walls.
3. Wireless-only setups may not be ideal
Because stone walls block Wi‑Fi so effectively, we do not strongly recommend using wireless-only extenders in this environment—the improvement may be limited.''
Thank you for using Q and A.
Hello Alison,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the TP-Link RE450 AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender- 1 Gigabit Port: ''Here is the answer for your question:
Input Power 100-240V~50/60Hz
Max. Power Consumption 10W(max power consumption)''
Thank you for using Q and A.
Hello Higs,
The supplier has advised the following for the TP-Link RE450 AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender- 1 Gigabit Port:
Yes, you can use two TP Link RE450 extenders together in one network to extend your Wi-Fi coverage.
For optimal performance, we recommend connecting both extenders directly to your main router's Wi-Fi network, rather than connecting them to each other (daisy chaining).
This setup helps maintain better network quality and stability.
The process of adding a second extender is the same as setting up the first one.
Thank you for using Q and A.
Hello Lainey,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the TP-Link RE450 AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender- 1 Gigabit Port: The RE450 can generally work with the Ogi network as long as the Ogi router broadcasts a standard 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi signal.
Thank you for using Q&A.
