Resolved intermittent wifi issues
Three bed semi property with wifi router in hall on ground floor. It wasn't reaching the back bedroom very well and the furthest part of the house in the front bedroom. Put this on the landing on the first floor and it has resolved the issue very well. Easy to install, literally plug it in and follow the instructions. You'll need your phone, existing WiFi password ready when you do it.

Very good. Our (Virgin) router is behind a very thick old brick wall in the garage. Needless to say reception on the second floor was awful. This has transformed the reach of the wi-fi, and took only a few minutes to set up once the instructions were followed and the app installed on my phone. Nice touch that you can turn off the LEDs without turning off the extender.

The supplier has advised for the TP-Link RE450 AC1750 Wi-Fi Range Extender- 1 Gigabit Port: The RE450 can connect to a TP-Link router (or most standard Wi-Fi routers) and extend the wireless range. It is also possible to connect one range extender through another range extender; however, for the best performance, we recommend that each extender connects directly to the main router's Wi-Fi network whenever possible.
If a daisy-chain setup is required, we generally recommend using no more than two extenders in the same chain, as wireless performance may decrease with each additional hop.

To ensure perfect performance, it is recommended that the distance between the router and the Range Extender be limited to 8 meters, and the distance between the Range Extender and the end device be approximately 8 meters.

Hi,
The RE450 should work with Wi-Fi 7 routers. TP-Link wireless extenders have broad compatibility with most standard Wi-Fi routers, including those from TP-Link and other brands. Compatibility issues may only occur with routers or gateways using modified, outdated, or non-standard firmware.
From a networking perspective, Wi-Fi 7 routers are backward compatible, meaning they still support older Wi-Fi standards, such as Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) used by the RE450. The RE450 will connect to your Wi-Fi 7 router's 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band and extend the signal as usual.
Note that the RE450 is a Wi-Fi 5 (AC1750) dual-band extender and therefore cannot take advantage of newer Wi-Fi 7 features (such as the 6 GHz band or MLO). It will operate within its own functional range, regardless of which router it connects to.

You can, however, you would only be boosting the signal from the first booster and not from the main router. Any issues at the first booster will reflect in the second.
