About this product
The Habitat Flat Sofa Bed gives you seating when you're relaxing and a proper bed when friends stay over. It's compact enough for smaller flats and studio spaces, where you need furniture to do two jobs without taking up too much room. There's a foam fold-out mechanism that converts from sofa to small double bed quickly, no wrestling with complicated bits. The fabric feels soft and wipes clean if you spill your tea. Removable seat cushions with foam filling keep their shape through regular use, and fibre-filled back cushions add extra comfort while you're sitting.
The plastic feet lift the frame off the floor, so you can hoover underneath without any awkward shifting. The sleeping area gives you 100cm width and 220cm length, that's a proper small double where two people can sleep comfortably. Minimal assembly required, you just attach the feet and you're sorted. It's suitable for regular use, so it'll handle being switched between sofa and bed as often as you need. Plump the cushions now and then to keep everything looking fresh. This is a fairly well made small sofa for the price it is a large single bed when out but very comfortable with a 4m topper, I do not like the cheap plastic legs they are not nice but I’m looking for wooden or better legs I can put on the sofa otherwise very happy with my purchase

What rhymes with "Habitat"?
The bed is disappointingly narrow given the dimensions of the sofa. The legs were the wrong size, so didn't quite fit right, and the bed was uncomfortable once opened out, even for a single night. We weren't impressed with the overall build quality, and the only really positive thing was rapid delivery. Hilariously, we used to joke in the 90s that Habitat sold "shabby tat", and this time they were right. Replaced it with a much better IKEA folding sofa for the same price the following month, and sold this one on FB marketplace.

This arrived the other day and is great. The dimensions worked perfectly for us. It's firm but I like that. We havent tried the bed bit yet but very happy with it so far! The colour and fabric are lovely.

No it cannot. The supplier says: "This sofa is provided with the sofabed frame fixed. There are no instructions provided to the customer to remove, and reattach the sofa bed."

Standard mattress toppers come in various sizes, Given the dimensions of the sofa bed, it would be challenging to fold a mattress topper along with the mattress into the sofa bed.
