Best back up toilet for septic tank failure
Due to complete septic tank failure, I needed a back up facility until groundwater subsided and engineers had capacity to install a sewage treatment plant. This product is comfortable and hygienic, can be used with shavings to reduce odour and facilitate hygienic disposal in composting toilet facility. Used it daily for 8 weeks. Marvellous product and so much better than a bucket!

Very useful when having a new boiler installed airing cupboard next to the bathroom! Just had problem putting the toilet roll holder on but that doesn't matter at all. Happy to say its easy to move around yet still sturdy.

I bought this as an emergency toilet as living on a narrowboat with pump out toilets is great until you get frozen in and can't move the boat to the pumpout on the marina.. so it was a great purchase...

Great value and very useful
I bought this to use over Christmas holidays as we sleep in a cosy wee shed at my mother-in -law’s house. In summer we would just answer the call of nature outside if we needed to in the middle of the night but obviously in wintertime that’s not very pleasant. We loved this purchase. It just sat in the corner of the room for use during the night if need be. It’s easy to put together, really sturdy, the wee toilet roll holder is a nice touch and easy to just empty the bucket in the morning. Would recommend.

The supplier has advised the following for the Leisurewize Portable Toilet (7.2L Capacity):
"We would advise that the waste is disposed of in line with local authority advice and ruling."
(Before considering disposal, especially disposal down a manhole, please contact your local authority for advice on whether this can be done and/or is safe, plus whether there may be a better or correct location and means of disposal. Not all manholes cover sewer pipes and not all the pipes they may lead to, if it is a sewer, are suitable for the disposal of waste of this kind).

Did about 1 kg of brown it will hold it
7.2 lt is a ffairly large amount so you shouldn't have any problems as far as weight goes it has taken 21st without a problem. Hope it helps.kieth.

After Investigating I can confirm that you can indeed use the Leisurewize Portable Toilet without any chemicals. But I would advise you to use them or something like it to stop the smell and breakdown the content.

It is just a bucket with a seat on. It can be used without chemicals however you might want to put some bleach or other chemical in it to reduce the smell, and you'll want to clean it with chemicals after.
Yes. Although a little water in the bowl will help.
Yes it could be. It is a bucket under the seat with a handle that you lift out to empty it. The bucket also has a lid, which is a good feature. I use a bit of blue chemical in the bottom to keep any smells at bay, but they don’t need to be used.
