Never had a dehumidifier before,but we have lots of condensation on our windows. After reading the reviews, we purchased the Meaco one,20 litre. It has been great in reducing the condensation, its quite, easy to empty ,and to move.I tried it with the washing facility, in a room like it says and was surprised how it helped dry the washing.We left it on overnight when we knew there would have been dripping windows in the morning, but every window was clear.Our experience so far is its an excellent product.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Meaco Dry Arete One 20 Litre Dehumidifier: It's generally recommended to avoid using extension leads with dehumidifiers, if you must, make sure it’s suitable for the power requirements of the dehumidifier and rated for the appropriate load.

Meaco Dry Arete One 20 Litre Dehumidifier:
Having checked the instructions, they advise:
The dust filter is a life-long filter and therefore should not need to be replaced (other than for wear and
tear reasons). When used regularly, the filter may become clogged with dust and dirt particles. The
filter must be cleaned a minimum of every two weeks.
1. Remove the dust filter from the dehumidifier by sliding the filter case to the left, away from the
dehumidifier. The dust filter is built into the filter case and cannot be removed – you may have
to remove the HEPA filter to access the dust filter.
2. Clean the dust filter with the end of a hoover or soapy water no hotter than 40°C. Rinse and
dry completely before inserting back into the dehumidifier.
The HEPA filter is optional and the dehumidifier can be used without this fitted. The HEPA filter is not life-long and must be replaced when the colour changes from white to
grey (it depends on the environment the dehumidifier is being used in but the HEPA filter will
need replacing roughly every 3 months). It can be hoovered every so often to remove dust or dirt.

“ Yes, you can use a mild disinfectant to clean the water tank. Just make sure to choose a mild, non-toxic disinfectant that’s safe for plastic i.e. dish soap. Avoid strong chemicals like bleach, as they can damage the plastic or leave a bad smell. ”
