Great remote with upto date codes
It's a great little remote. I got for my mum who is in hospital and the TV in her room had no remote. Read the instructions - it takes a little while to get the order right on the programming. and the list of codes that come with it work - these codes are not all listed in the web but the ones in the booklet make it work. Great!

Highly Recommend!
I already had 2 remotes (TV & DMR) and recently added a Roku stick for streaming, so 2 went up to 3! Grrrr! So the need to purchase a universal remote was urgently required and this one came recommended on many internet sites. With this remote I was able to add both the TV and DMR to it and *BONUS* I was able to set it up so that I could control the volume whilst in DVD mode (previously the volume was only controlled via the TV as the DMR has no volume setting.. hence the 2 remotes). It was so easy to do, especially programming 'unused' buttons for selections you need, from the other remotes, but they don't have a dedicated button on the OFA remote. The design of the remote is light, easy to handle, with a good layout and it isn't crammed with buttons you don't need e.g. Netflix, Youtube etc. Would highly recommend this item for the price!

No, it's not compatible with that TV. The URC 1240 does not have the right code in its memory.
Instead, the Supplier recommends the following models that do have the relevant code and which would therefore also be compatible: URC 1211/1212, URC 1241/1242, URC 1281/1282, URC 3661, URC 49222, URC 6821, URC 9290 and URC 9291.
