Poor collection time
Ordered on Saturday 25th October for next day collection Sunday 26th. I needed item for the Monday. I could have ordered from another company for the same price but delivery would be on Tuesday. Sunday passed but no collection confirmation, nor Monday, Tuesday or any day until November 1st - 7 days overdue. Item was pointless then. No apology given. Totally ignored, won't use Argos again. No idea if item works.

Wrong adapter for ne!
The description said it would suit tablets. It perhaps does but not iPad. Well made & woukd have been useful if right one. Took it back, explained to Jack @ counter the issue. He went above & beyond to try & sort correct one and was exceptionally kind, helpful & personable. We eventually agreed to have z refund. 10/10 salesmanship experience.

It is not compatible with older models using the Lightning connector.

Yes you can use it to format a micro SD card. You can format on a computer which is probably better as it will give you the option of whether you format it NTFS or exFAT filing system. The only problem being some older computers don't have usb-C ports which is what it uses. You can format using a phone as long as your phone supports OTG connection and it won't give you an option of filing systems it will use the phones default to format it which is exFAT in a lot of the newer phones but can be FAT32 in some of the older phones.

Checking this PNY 3 Port USB-C Card Reader & Adapter I am seeing it is not described as compatible with iOS devices.
From Apple, iOS devices need any external storage device to be in a single partition and formatted with one of the below file systems: PFS, APFS (encrypted), macOS Extended (HFS+), exFAT (FAT64), FAT32, or FAT. Please check you have the correct file format (using a Mac or PC) as it may be in something unsupported such as NTFS.
