Very good product
I bought this item about a month ago. It has been very good so far. I have mainly used it to connect to my phones and a TV. It was also very easy to set up initially. All I needed was a working sim card.

So easy to set up. Working in minutes.
One of the easiest to set up 4G routers I have ever bought. Just insert a working sim card and it works. If you want to connect to WiFi rather than Ethernet on your computer or phone just search for the router on any device and insert the password on the back of the router into your phone/computer. You can also, if you wish, change the router WiFi name and password, which I did to match my old broken router and for security. That saved having to individually change my 6 WiFi devices passwords which were connected to my old broken router.

Does the job
Nice little box. Does the job as we’re moving and our internet has been cut off. But no good for gaming. TV and mobile phones ok and my daughter works from home once a week which is perfectly fine. But it’s not strong enough for gaming.

Worked a treat.
I bought this when my Virgin Media router broke and I wasn't able to get assistance for 3 weeks. It's as simple as putting your mobile simcard into the router and powering on. Was very pleased with it and it got me through the 3 weeks I needed it for. This can be used fully remote too, you can be anywhere as long as you have your sim card and power supply, you'll have a remote router.

Perfect idea for a sim card
I bought this for my caravan so I could share the unlimited sim card. . Works great. It runs the family phones and television. I reckon it would be good in a house too if the full.fibre is down. Easy to set - plug and play - looks good too

Can’t Fault it!
Bought this about a month ago for a loft in an outbuilding. We are rural and struggle with landlines/broadband as we only have copper phone lines. I got a cheap ‘all you can eat’ SIM card and popped it in (really simple to set up) and away we went. Runs the tv with apps, the PlayStation 5 and multiple mobile phones no problem. I would definitely recommend this device.

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the TP-Link ArcherMR515 AC1200 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router: The TP-Link Archer AX12 does not include a SIM card slot, so it’s not compatible with SIM cards for cellular connectivity.
It’s designed to work with a wired Ethernet WAN connection—no 3G/4G via SIM, USB modem, or DSL. If you're looking for a router that supports SIM cards, then we can advise MR200 4G router which supports Nano sim card slot.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the TP-Link Archer AC1200 Wireless Dual-Band Wi-Fi 4G Router: No, it’s not designed to be used as an extender or extension router.
The Archer MR515 is mainly a 4G LTE router:
It’s designed to provide internet using a SIM card (4G mobile data).
It can also share internet via Ethernet WAN in some cases (as backup or main connection).
It creates its own Wi-Fi network for devices to connect.
If you need a device that extends Wi-Fi coverage, you’d want a Wi-Fi Range Extender like RE200 or a Mesh System (like TP-Link Deco).
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi ED,

Hi Jord,
SIM card(3G/4G) Router Mode is the default mode. Once you insert a compatible and unlocked SIM card, the router becomes plug-and-play.
If there is no internet after installing the SIM card, please manually configure the router by referring: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2845/...
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Keith,
If you do not have a SIM card, you can use this router as a normal wifi router plugged into your modem.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello there,
The supplier has advised the following for the TP-Link Archer AC1200 Wireless Dual-Band Wi-Fi 4G Router:
"In the UK, you have several strong options for SIM cards that would work well for your needs, including moderate internet browsing, downloading apps, and using a router. Here are some of the best choices: Vodafone, EE, O2 and Three. Please check on their respective websites the best possible options regarding 4G/5G coverage in your location, and suitable plan options for your data needs."
(This info is subject to change of course and, when referring to “best” here, the supplier is basing this upon your query here only and there may be other factors you would also wish to consider in terms of what’s best for your own requirements. These are essentially what they believe would be suitable suggestions you should consider).
