I bought this to replace a wooden home-made support for a metal poled bird feeder station on paving stones in my back yard. It took a little while to ensure it was fitted correctly, but by looking at the box picture it made it easy to see which way the swirls should go. Unfortunately, when it was assembled, it wobbled too much. This was because the base was a small circle of metal that was lower than the outer rim. It would probably have worked better on grass because the base could have sunk into the grass to enable the rim to provide support. I found it necessary to chock the outer rim with flower pot shards and it became very stable! It firmly supports two wood pigeons, or three jackdaws or several starlings without any wobbling. The birds seem to like it and I like it too! It has solved the problem of how to support a pole-type bird feeder station on paving stones.

Bought to go with the matching bird feeder , the base comes in two half’s that screw together, very easy to do it’s sturdy enough to hold the feeder , nice design so I have no problems the birds seem to like it !

Poor quality.

This is much too lightweight to be of much use. The bird feeder pole I bought it for does not stand upright in it. Very flimsy and poor quality.

Wrong description of product

The picture on the website is not the same as the product supplied when we went to collect it. The picture on the website is a decorative cast iron stand. The item supplied was a cement filled stand similar to those sold with a garden table umbrella, so we did not buy it
