Fantastic product

I am so happy with this product, it is so powerful and makes your carpets look like new. I am so impressed with the way it washes going forward and drys pulling backwards. The only downside I feel is that if you’re paying a fair amount of money I think it should include enough solution to do (say) a 3 bedroom house and not have to pay that on top of the price of the machine in the first instance. I did have an another leading brand of carpet cleaner before this machine, let me tell you it doesn’t do nowhere near as good of a job as this one. I am very very impressed, can’t fault the machine 1 bit. 😆

Excellent carpet cleaner

I already own a Vax Platinum SmartWash - it is an excellent carpet cleaner, however I find it heavy and bulky to lift up & downstairs. I decided to try the Vax MAXclean StainShot Pet model - i'm so glad that I did ! This machine is compact and lighter to carry. It is much easier to manoeuvre whilst it still does an excellent job of cleaning/washing the carpets. It has some new functions, Stainshot mode, debris catcher and hose rinse function. The machine comes with a free 6 year guarantee. Unfortunately this model does not have automix, meaning that it does not have a reservoir for its cleaning solution, it has to be added manually to the clean water tank, which could be wasteful. It does however have a reservoir for the solution for more stubborn stains. I highly recommend this product.

Good clean

Bought a couple of weeks ago but this weekend the dry weather meant it was ideal carpet drying so I gave it a go. Box came with the upholstery attachments, the handle and the machine as well as some stain pro solutions. Instructions mainly easy to follow. For me the pros: The machine is the similar size as a standard vacuum so not too large. The push to wash and pull back motion to dry worked well. My carpet was cleaned really well and I was impressed by how clean it was. The stain boost feature lasts 30 secs and it did take out some stains from the dog. When the dirty water needs removing the machine makes a louder noise. Relatvely easy to realise once you know it will happen. Cons: To carry up the stairs was tricky. It has no other handle or grab handle other than the one you hold to push it. The clean water tank is tricky to hold when you are filling it up. It is a strange shape , bit like a square horseshoe, and it made it hard to hold when wet. When I was cleaning the carpet the hose kept dangling down at the back so when i pushed to clean it was sort of ok but when pulling back to dry it dangled and was annoying. No matter how much I adjusted it it is as though it is missing another hook to hold it in place. I followed the instructions to use the hose and attachments to do the stairs but I could not get it to keep squirting out water. Its a shame gecause the spin attachment would have been brilliant. I was rather disappointed with that hence my lower rating. Ended up using my spotwash instead. Overall a decent clean but I did find the stairs/ upholstery gadget disappointing

Very surprised

I have had the machine a couple of weeks and used for the first time today. I usually use a Karcher commercial machine, but its hard work. The was very easy and cleaned very well. The carpet was surprisingly dry.

Easy and Simple to use

I’m really pleased with this carpet cleaner. It works well, is easy to assemble, and is also easy to clean afterwards. One feature I particularly like is the handle in the middle, which makes it much easier to lift and carry around. My previous model didn’t have this, and it was much harder to transport. The main downside is the connector that holds the hose in place. It keeps coming off, which can be a little frustrating. If you put the hose underneath it instead, it makes it harder to connect the hose at the top. Overall, though, it’s a good carpet cleaner that does the job well and is much easier to carry and maintain than my previous one.

Good All Round Machine

Purchased the machine a while ago and have only used it once. It was easy to assemble & is relatively easy to use if a little heavy. The different features were easy to access & operate. The results were better than I expected & the carpet dried quickly although I hasten to add the room was very hot due to the heatwave. So far so good.

Excellent Stain Remover *

I am really impressed with my new Vax MaxClean StainShot Pet. It’s compact, very easy to use and has done a brilliant job of removing stains and freshening up my carpets and upholstery. I have used Vax carpet washers for many years but this is far superior to my previous cleaner. It is also handy for those little pet accidents. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Compact, convenient and surprisingly powerful

I received this machine as part of a VAX testing programme. Having owned and used various VAX spot washers and carpet cleaners over the years, this is around the 8th machine I’ve tested. My first impression is that it combines the qualities of the VAX SpotWash Max Duo Pet Design with features and performance similar to the Platinum SmartWash. While it isn’t quite in the same league as the Platinum, its Dry Only mode and Motion Sense technology are excellent. It washes on the forward stroke and extracts on the reverse, helping carpets dry faster. It’s considerably smaller and lighter than the Platinum and uses a single brush, making it ideal for those with limited storage space. The onboard hose is a real highlight, making it much easier to switch between spot cleaning and full carpet cleaning. It also includes VAX’s built-in hose cleaning system, which makes maintenance simple. I particularly liked the debris catcher, which prevents dirt getting trapped and flicked from the sides, as can happen with older machines. Cleaning performance is excellent and very much on par with the Platinum, although its narrower cleaning path means more passes are needed. However, this makes it easier to clean tighter spaces without moving as much furniture. The new StainShot technology is another standout feature. It’s easy to use, highly effective and surprisingly doesn’t create excessive foam. Overall, this is a versatile, compact option that bridges the gap between a spot washer and upright.
