Good iron for price
Good iron for the price as lightweight and irons well. Negative is the very short lead to the socket which makes ironing not as easy ! Also the water reservoir cap is extremely tight so not easy to access.

Having checked I can see I can see the manual advises: To reduce limescale damage we recommend using deionised, distilled or demineralised water, available at most large supermarkets. This is particularly important if you live in a hard water area.

Hi, yes you do use the cover at the top to fill, It is tight on first use but will be easier once opened.

Please note the self-clean is incorporated into the variable steam slider switch and is the OPPOSITE side to MAX.
To self-clean, please PUSH and HOLD the steam switch slider all the way to the LHS. When finished self cleaning, the switch will spring back to the “O” position when let go. - Morphy Richards
