I bought this after seeing The Cursed Child as a gift and the recipient loved it! Reasonably bright light, easy to use and good quality.

It’s a good wand but it broke very easily so not ideal for smaller children

Expensive tat that kids love

JK Rowling is coining it in by rolling out these cheaply made easily to break (this is his 2nd, he broke the 1st within an hour) owing to the fact they are made of brittle resin. The batteries in the second one were dead, they are specialised batteries. Lucky I kept the snapped first wand and Frankensteined some new batteries out of that. Expensive rubbish but what can I say. I’ve now got a dopey 5 year old who thinks he is Harry Potter and can turn me into a frog.

good design but fragile

The design is very good however the resin the wand is made from is a bit fragile and a single drop can chip peaces off. The light diode at the end of it is not very well secured so it starts wiggling especially after the surrounding area is a bit chipped. In my opinion it would not stay intact more than 2 days in the hands of a child (my son broke a piece of the tip with a single drop on the floor an hour after unpacking.

Poor quality-broke within five minutes of play

The wand was one of two purchased at the same time. The light did not work on the first and it was returned and replaced the following day. The second was given as a gift a couple of days later and lasted five minutes of (not particularly boisterous) play before it also broke. I tried to return the item and was refused a refund. I would not recommend this as it is simply not fit for purpose and not robust for children's play.
