Picture Quality and sound
I bought this three weeks ago it’s the second one I have now. Great , you can even Check it when you’re abroad. But Sometimes it loses the Internet but does reconnect a bit unstable, but I wouldn’t be without them

good quality image, easy to set up
A very neat little camera that I managed to set up very easily despite usually struggling with these things. Picture quality is surprisingly good unless you want to use it to point outside though a window at night then it just reflects. It picks up quite small movement such as trees blowing in the wind but the notifications do distinguish between a person causing the motion and just "motion". For the price I'm quite impressed (although the memory card you buy on top is quite expensive!)

Tapo app is required to set up and manage your Tapo C100. It is the primary way to configure the camera, view live footage, manage recordings, and adjust settings. There is no alternative interface (such as a web browser portal) to replace the app for this camera.
Regarding the blinking red and green LED, this is actually normal behavior — it simply means your camera is ready for setup. Inserting the SD card does not complete the setup process. The Tapo C100 supports 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi networks only and does not support direct connection to a 5 GHz Wi‑Fi network.
If your router broadcasts both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, you can connect the camera to the 2.4 GHz network and it should work normally. If your router is configured to use only 5 GHz, you will need to enable a 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network for the camera to connect.

You can also enable loop recording. When enabled, new recordings will overwrite older videos when the storage is full.

If the camera is installed behind glass, infrared lights may cause reflection when the camera works in the Night mode, resulting in blurry and unclear images, thereby hindering timely detection of moving objects.

The supplier has advised for the Tapo C100 1080P Wi-Fi Indoor Security Camera: Once your Tapo camera is set up and connected to the internet, you can view and control it remotely using the Tapo app, even when you are away from home or in a different country. As long as the camera stays online, you can use cellular data or any internet connection on your phone or tablet to access the camera feed and receive notifications through the Tapo app.
Please note, setting up the camera initially must be done locally (with your phone, camera, and router in the same place), but after setup, remote access is fully supported.
