Great for keeping an eye on an aged P
I bought two of these as part of the solution to keeping an eye on my aged father who refuses to have 24 hour carers. These cover the hall and landing, and are great. The hardest part is routing the mains to within 3m of the camera. Picture quality is fabulous, and the IR LED provides good visibility in the dark. I also bought the pan and tilt cameras to cover other rooms. Setting up was easy.

Compact and easy to use
These are great little cameras. They are compact, a doddle to setup, and the app works great without any ads or fees. A subscription is only required if you want to use cloud storage. If you are happy to use a MicroSD then a subscription is not required. You can also use the camera to trigger smart actions with other tapo devices via the app.

Easy to set up and works a treat. Good night vision for inside however if you aim the camera through a window you may get the cameras reflection in the image. The field of view is excellent and I would recommend this product not only for its quality but for its very reasonable price.

We don't recommend it.
If the camera is installed behind glass, infrared lights may cause reflection when the camera works in the Night mode, resulting in blurry and unclear images, thereby hindering timely detection of moving objects.

The supplier has advised for the Tapo C100 1080P Wi-Fi Indoor Security Camera: Once your Tapo camera is set up and connected to the internet, you can view and control it remotely using the Tapo app, even when you are away from home or in a different country. As long as the camera stays online, you can use cellular data or any internet connection on your phone or tablet to access the camera feed and receive notifications through the Tapo app.
Please note, setting up the camera initially must be done locally (with your phone, camera, and router in the same place), but after setup, remote access is fully supported.

The “wireless” part only refers to the Wi‑Fi connection, not the power source. The Tapo C100 does NOT have a built‑in battery.
It must be plugged into a power socket at all times using the included adapter and cable.

For camera live view, once the camera is set up in the Tapo app and connected to the internet, you can watch it for free (no extra cost).
For camera playback, there are two recording types:
1. Tapo Care Cloud Recordings: Each Tapo Camera offers a one-time 30-day free trial of Tapo Care (starts when enabled in the app), which provides 30-day cloud video history and advanced features.
