Vax MaxClean Stainshot Pet Design Carpet Cleaner

A fantastic and easy to use carpet cleaner.

I found the Vax Max Stain Shot to be an excellent carpet cleaner. It does a great job of cleaning carpets but the stain shot feature is absolutely amazing and removes stains that I really felt it would be unable to shift, and it did it so quickly and easily too. I have tried the upholstery attachment on a tapestry cushion and it lifted the stain quickly with no damage at all to the fabric. The spin scrub is also easy to use and handy for reaching into areas the full machine could not access. I did not need to use it for extra work on stains as the stain shot did such a great job. I have had the larger model Vax carpet shampooers for years and they are great for covering larger areas of carpet but now I am older and have arthritis in my wrists I do find them harder work to use and it is a struggle for me to move them upstairs. Quite honestly this carpet shampooer is perfectly suited to my needs and is so much easier for me to use. I think I will be using the Max Clean Stain Shot Carpet cleaner for all my carpet cleaning. However for those who can easily manage I think a larger machine with bigger tanks would be ideal for cleaning a larger area of carpet, combined with the Max Clean Shot Carpet Cleaner for easily dealing with smaller spills and areas. Overall this is a fantastic carpet cleaner for me and will make my carpet shampooing much easier for me. The stains left by grandchildren and pet will be so much easier to deal with.

Nice carpet cleaner

Purchased just recently and only used once so far to clean our lounce carpet. So far very pleased with the features and it's performance (cleaning better than our old Bissell cleaner ever did). There is however an annoying feature - we found that the dirty water tank "blows full" prematurely which I assume (from looking at the "Troublshooting" section) is probably caused by the float closing because of excess soap suds and thus necessitating earlier emptying of the tank. We were using the supplied "Platinum Ultimate Solution" and slightly lower solution to water mix ratio so I would have expected less soap suds! We did however pre treat some stubborn stains with the "StainShot" solution so this may have been the cause. Will try cleaning without the StainShot to see if the issue lessons. Otherwise a nice carpet cleaner and would recommend.
