About this product
Easy to install and set up, this cat flap allows your pet to come and go as it pleases and you can choose how it is locked. 4-way locking allows you to have the door completely locked, completely unlocked, in only and out only, so you can make sure you're not getting out of bed to let them in. Suitable for medium sized cats and dogs up to 7kgs, the locking door can be fitted into walls and doors. This pet door includes a fixed tunnel of 60mm to accommodate extra wide doors. It is not possible to add additional tunnels to this pet door.

Catflap
Fitted onto new door easily. Catflap shuts with quite a bang due to mangnet (possibly overly powerful for the job in hand?) and needs some force to open. The cat is still refusing to put the effort in to learn how to use this one vs the one it replaced.

The PetSafe Staywell Classic 4 Way Locking Cat Flap - White is purely manual operation and has four locking options to choose from. Your cats microchip is not utilised.
There is a magnetic version wfich uses collar keys (two supplied) and this can be found at the link below:

Yes it will work in the plywood door, I believe its roughly 5mm + deep.
