Cutting grass is so easy
Over the summer , this Strimmer has proved to be worth every penny. It is light , easy to use with automatic line feed and gets up all those awkward corners that a mower couldn't. And when finished easy to clean and the battery charges up again very quickly.

Disappointing
Bought this about a month ago as my petrol strimmer had stopped working. It was easy to assemble, requiring just a few screws. There was power in the battery so I used it straight away for about half an hour . Power was disappointing. Several passes required to trim an area which my petrol strimmer would have managed in a single pass. Had to constantly, manually, free up the trimmer line, slowing the process even further. I then put the battery on to charge but it never worked again. Battery completely dead . Returned it to Argos who exchanged it for a lower specced, lower priced model (which on first use was just as effective). It’ll do for now until I’ve fixed my petrol strimmer but it really feels under powered.

I am going to say you'll need a new spool if one is finished, but it comes with two spools in the box. Also, we don't know why, but sometimes the machine turns itself off after 15-20mins of use, even though the battery is around 70% charge still. It works after, but it feels like this might be a safety feature so it doesn't overheat etc.
The same thing happened with our Spear and Jackson Strimmer. I bought it in July 2024. It stopped working. The problem seems to be the battery or charger. I contacted Argos and was told to phone Spear and Jackson since it has a 3 year guarantee. I phoned them but was not sent the trouble shooting sheet as promised. We phoned again and were given a reference number, but nothing else. We have been given the run around for over 3 weeks- still no replacement battery or charger.
