Black Parasol water filled Base
Exactly what I wanted, replaced damaged concrete base. Its easy to fill with fluid to suit an appropriate weight I can move easily to secure non movement of Parasol in the wind! Cost was reasonable and far better than original base supplied and can be emptied in winter.

Wrong fit
Unable to use. 1. The neck was too long to fit table of bistro set. 2. The neck was too narrow for the parasol. 3. Needed to use a chisel and hammer to insert bung after item was filled with water. Bung can no longer be removed. Al three items which were purchased together were unfit for use. I have taken the decision to never again purchase from Argos.

This parasol base is suitable for a 1kg parasol, reliably sustaining a light breeze only, but we do not need nor want a parasol when the sun is not burning down on top of us without relief from a breeze, so all is very good for purpose and weak, sick and elderly people cannot manage heavy objects as well as strong sun , so it is worth its weight in gold, especially as one can fill it with water in situ. I hope this is of help, as I remember being so confused during initial selection, myself.

Although it is adjustable so may fit theses measurements, i wouldn’t recommend getting it for anything free standing. It constantly falls over when windy, even when filled to the brim with water.

This will NOT work with the Argos Home 3m Overhanging Garden Parasol - Grey 401/2434. The correct base for the 401/2434 would be Argos Home Plastic Quarter Parasol Base - Black 305/8798. You would need to purchase 4 of these.

Can fill it with water but theres no plug to stop the water spilling straight out
