I found this perfect for reading in bed, you can change the angle to suit. I don't have a headboard so this is perfect, sturdy and comfortable.

Bestest Backrest
Very pleased I bought this. It works perfectly for me set on lowest setting. One pillow lying across the bottom section covering the hardware. One strategically placed above. I tried all manner of connotations and this one worked the best. The small pillow provided isn't much use I binned it. When I need the backrest in the dead of night I just slide it across from the none sleeping side of my bed and set myself up to read. When I have had enough it gets pushed back across again. It's light enough for me to manage. So much more comfortable than 2 ordinary propped up pillows. And posture wise.... less damaging.

Good but needs to be softer, especially if you have hurt your back. Pillows help to soften so you can recline against comfortably.
