Hi, I have one of these irons. It lacks auto shut off which is a major issue as Im getting on a bit and can be a little forgetful. The 2m power cord is too short. Also the dial is a bit awkward to work out which way to turn as its difficult to see where to line the dots up with.

Yes, this iron can be used as a dry iron.
As per user manual:
DRY IRONING
1. If you’re going to be dry ironing for 20 minutes or more, empty the reservoir first to avoid
spontaneous bursts of steam.
2. Set the steam control to S.
3. Set the desired temperature.
4. Wait till the light goes out, then start ironing.

Yes, you can use tap water. If you live in a hard water area I would recommend you use the self-clean function after each use to prolong the life of your iron.

Haven't got any decent scales but l would say about 3 lbs. It's not heavy at all l have R A and l can use it fine.
