Long close focus
The description warns that the closest focus is 26 feet, but in my estimation it's way more than that. In fact the focus adjustment doesn't seem to do much at all unless you are looking at something (literally) miles away. Maybe I got a duff pair? Not very good for garden bird watching, but you get what you pay for, and in the scheme of things these are inexpensive binoculars.

Good magnification.
Larger than my old pair but double the magnification, so that is fine. Easy to focus. The case is a tight fit, it could be roomier.

Used at cricket and plan to use on upcoming trip to India. Very happy with the purchase.

Great beginner friendly binocs
I bought these to start documenting and watching wildlife, the focus is great as is the magnification they do take a moment to get to grips with (read the manual people) only downside is the flimsy neck strap other than that I love them.

Great Binos
Great piece of kit. Well built and not too heavy. They feel right at home in your hand with the rubber coating. Clear image and pin point focus, which is easy to get spot on. The focus dial has a nice progressive action to it which helps with precise focusing. Inside the carry case they still fit in the zip pocket of my Gortex jacket. Great kit for the price.

Good wee set
Bought these mainly to watch the birds in the garden, haven't used them anywhere else yet. Followed the set up instructions which are straightforward enough. Good vision for what I need. Happy with purchase.

Binoculars
Product was bought to replace an old pair of similar strength Nikon binoculars to be primarily used during the cricket season. Product is ok, but no amount of focusing equalled the clarity of the 15 year old pair that they replaced and I had returned to before the end of the season.

Hello Nui,
The supplier has advised the following for the Celestron Upclose G2 16x32 Binoculars:
“ These are not waterproof. For a waterproof binocular, please consider the Celestron Nature DX 10x42. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hi Paul,
Looking online the recommended size binoculars for watching cricket are either 8×42 or 10×50. As both of these will give you good magnification, whilst also letting in enough light to see the image clearly, even in lower lighting conditions.
Thanks for using Q&A.
WARNING! ---
DO NOT LOOK AT THE SUN DIRECTLY WITH BINOCULARS
Hello Caca,
This has 16x magnification so you will have a better view however at least 50x magnification is advised for the stars and moon.
I hope this helps
Thanks for using Q&A
Hello Andrew,
The supplier has advised the following for the Celestron Upclose G2 16x32 Binoculars:
"The 862/7571 cannot be mounted on a tripod.
If this is a requirement, the customer could consider the 932/8518 which can be mounted on a tripod and includes the required adapter."
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
