Rubbish, don’t waste your money
I bought this less than 2 months ago It’s terrible Suction is poor I kept thinking it was blocked or full because when hoovering everything would just spray out the back and I was having to go over the area again and again The hoovering took ages and it is very heavy I’ve emptied it over and over and checked it for blockages and nothing It just doesn’t pick up very well and makes such a big mess that I’d rather just sweep up Returning mine Not worth the money

Happy with my new shark, it has good suction on the regular setting, due to my disability I am unable to use the extra suction,I simply can't Push it! Easy to fit together I did with just one hand. It's also easy to empty.

I sent this back without using it. The accessories don’t fit on the side poles in any orientation. I don’t want to store them separately. Didn’t use it.

Didn't live up to the hype
I got this vacuum for moving into and cleaning our house new house. It was a very dusty but not filthy space and a good way to test this machine out. The suction on this vacuum is great, so strong I sometimes struggled to move it across the carpets (eventually realized there's a suction adjustment button that'll help there, in a weird place), I emptied the chamber four times that day it pulled up so much dust. It also caught dust as it was disturbed into the air, so I didn't cough as much as I expected to. That was great. But, I have major issues with the design. The novelty of being able to detach the pod from the foot to carry as you hoover higher up is quickly lost. It's heavy, the handheld nozzle is too short and inflexible, I struggled to reach higher spaces having to drag the machine in my spare hand that was actually needed to help me control the inflexible stick. I was constantly putting the machine on the ground (and it would promptly fall over, easy to have designed that better) to rest my arm, but would have to pick it up again as the extender couldn't reach far on it's own and the toppled pod would drag. The mini vacuum attachment only works at a very specific angle, combo'ed with the inflexible nozzle thing, it was badly angled, even on the stairs, suspect I won't use it long term. The last issue is cleaning out the machine, by the second empty, the filters in the machine were clogged, I found two that needed cleaning. It's hard to clean the inner chamber and clogged components, doing so throws dust into the air and the inner chamber had a lot of filthy parts I had to carefully wipe clean, I had to take it outside, close the door and stand upwind for every empty because of this. I'm not looking forward to maintaining this machine. Honestly if I could, I'd return it. My previous vacuum didn't have the suction of the Shark, but it was muuuccch easier to handle and clean.

Yes, the cable should be long enough for most staircases. The Shark Classic Lift-Away comes with an 8-metre power cord, giving you plenty of reach from a nearby socket. It also features Lift-Away technology, so you can detach the lightweight pod and carry it while cleaning the stairs, rather than trying to balance the full vacuum. On top of that, the hose gives you up to 3 metres of extra reach in portable mode, making it even easier to clean each step comfortably.
The Shark Classic Lift‑Away does not feature Edge‑to‑Edge or DuoClean technology. It is equipped with a standard motorised floor nozzle designed to effectively clean both carpets and hard floors. Edge‑to‑Edge cleaning capabilities are typically found on newer Shark models, such as those in the Anti Hair Wrap or DuoClean ranges.
This model does not have anti-hair wrap capabilities.
