Very flexible.

I bought this in order to get my broadband hub moved for full fibre installation, rather than get an electrician in to move a double socket (the original engineer said my double socket was too far away for him to install the box). This has done the trick and I will eventually get a permanent double socket put in the correct place. It's been working well for a few days now.

Not true as I bought this extension lead today based on the fact its advertised with a removable plug but got home to find its moulded on so my options are to return to store and shop elsewhere or cut it off and fit a plug myself.
We just bought one as we thought it was rewireable as the photo shows screws on the plug but when we got it home, it is a moulded plug.

Masterplug 2 Socket 5 Metre Extension Lead:
This depends on the plug fuse of the fan and whether the manual of your fan confirms it it safe to use with an extension lead. Most fan heaters do not recommend the use of an extension lead as this can be dangerous. This is suitable to use with 13A fused plug.

The supplier has advised the following for the Masterplug 2 Socket 5 Metre Extension Lead:
"The extension is rated fully unwound at 3120 watts, some tumble dryers do get close to this but not exceed it, as long as nothing else is plugged in it will be fine." They add that adding additional devices/appliances could exceed the 3120W and overload it.
(However, on balance, we'd still advise strongly against using it with your appliance, especially as there is a risk that another appliance could be plugged in in error. Also, without knowing the brand, model, and specs of your tumble dryer we cannot confirm how close it may be to the limits of this lead or if this may exceed it.
Please also check your appliance's user manual for confirmation as, having checked a number of brands and models, they tend to say that their appliance is not suitable for plugging into any extension cord and that it should be plugged into the mains socket only. In all cases, we'd advise to stick to the appliance's own advice).
