Exactly what I needed
My power supply broke and I had to replace it very quickly. I was expecting to pay lots for a replacement, so was really happy to discover this smaller one. It doesn't charge as quickly of course, but that's not an issue for me. Very happy. I was able to collect it in hours too, so hardly lost any work time.

emergency purchase
I use a surface lap top for work and I'd left my charger behind so needed to purchase one asap. Argos was the only supplier in my area with stock. I purchased this one instead of the significantly more expensive, faster one. I think that retails for £50 more! This charger comes complete with a plug and is a single rubber wire straight to the charging component - as opposed to the faster cable which has a surge pack (i think it is) with a usb port. It does charge slower as the power is less however, I have a full charge within the hour and have not noticed much difference in charge time to be honest. Cable is a good length also. I'd definitely purchase another one of these cables instead of the faster, expensive one as good value for money in comparison.

Wrong kit, poor packaging-horrendous service
Bought from argos rather than online, despite £20 price difference. The box was impossible to open, when I did it was clear Microsoft had changed the style, so it wouldn't fit. Returning it to the store involved 20 minutes of arguing with staff, rude , deceitful, unsympathetic- until I finally got the manager (I had been told by 2 staff that they were in charge and it was impossible to see the manager! ) I have never experienced anything like this in argos (or anywhere else). .I finally got a refund and I suppose one of those shopping horror stories I will love to tell.

I bought this couple of months ago and since the beginning it's been charging my laptop very slowly, completely different quality from the charger hat came with the laptop originally. I do not recommend this product
