The product uses a 3.5"" dual function lens that provides magnifications of 1.75 (3 Dioptre) and 3 (8 Dioptre) this makes it ideal for fine detail projects. Constructed from robust materials the unit features fluorescent illumination, 360 degree pivoting head, gooseneck arm for easy positioning, flip up lens cover, heavy base and on/off switch. I bought this for my dad who struggles with his eyesight, being unable to read his own post. This lamp has given him back his independence, dignity and privacy. It is easily operated, great illumination and magnification. Worth every penny - and more. The benefits gained are priceless

Great.
For 87 yr old mainly to use in the kitchen to read cooking instructions but also helps with small instructions/warnings on medications & it works very well. I'd advise against using it to swat flies with or trying to unblock the toilet. :D

This lamp is just what I wanted and at a good price. It has an ordinary three pin plug which for me is more usable than USB. Very good bright light and good magnification, and heavy base which stops it toppling over.
