Customers Say
Good value telescopic fishing net with strong mesh and compact design. Suitable for beginners and light to medium fish, but pole durability is a concern for heavier catches.

Rubbish
Absolutely rubbish the plastic telescopic pole bent catching a 7 pound fish on the first use and won’t retract back in. A waste of £15. Should have purchased a more expensive one, I can see now why it was so cheap.

Cheap and cheerful
A very good price and a good design but the weak link is the aluminium pole. Be very careful when it’s fully extended and you try and land a fairly heavy fish or that pole will snap. Don’t lift it, just drag it in to avoid this happening. I’ve had two of these type of poles snap before so be careful. If Matt’s reading this, which I’m sure he’s not, design a better pole.

Hello Rob,
The supplier has advised the following for the Matt Hayes Telescopic Landing Net:
“ The Matt Hayes Tele Landing Net is designed specifically for landing and safely handling fish. Its soft, fish‑friendly mesh and folding frame make it ideal for angling, but it isn’t suitable for removing algae from a pond.
Algae tends to be very fine and can clog or damage the mesh, and the net shape isn’t designed for effective pond‑cleaning. You’d get much better results using a dedicated pond skimmer or algae net, which is built to collect floating debris and plant matter without stressing the mesh. ”
Thanks for using Q & A.
