The Canon PIXMA G650 is perfect for printing large volumes of high-quality borderless photos up to A4 size in a studio, at home or in the office. Total cost of ownership is reduced with this high-volume printer thanks to the six refillable dye-based ink tanks that last longer between refills. Changing inks is error-free and mess-free thanks to the non-squeeze bottles. You'll save time as you can print from your phone or tablet using the Canon PRINT App or connect via Wi-Fi to your devices.
Six DYE Inks: High Quality and Fastness - New red and grey inks for enhanced colour gamut and high-quality photo printing. Maintenance Cartridge - User can replace print head and maintenance cartridge by themselves to reduce downtime.
High-Volume Photo Printing - High-volume ink tanks enable high page yields: one set of bottles can print around 3,800 4x6 photo prints, meaning fewer bottle refills. Enhanced Media Support - Improved feed accuracy and capacity across a wide variety of photo papers.

Great for the price!
Pretty easy to set up, good quality print. Use the program that came with it, used a third party program on my iPad and it did make a difference. Does feel a bit plasticity and the screen is a pain to see but I did go for the cheaper of the range. Overall, very happy.

Excellent photo printer with one drawback
Very good printer with only one drawback. The paper can be loaded with only one sort of paper at a time so you cannot load plain and photo paper simultaneously. The photo printing is excellent.

I have used cartridge inkjet and colour laser printers prior to this Canon G650 inktank printer, and in comparison this was a doddle to setup and get printing. Scanning and copying are easy, as is printing docs, but borderless colour photo printing is excellent. The ink lasts a lot longer than cartridges too. Very pleased with this purchase.

Picture quality is good, and that's it! Trying to get it to pair with any Android phone is a nightmare. As for down loading software to use with this product, seems to be an open door to see what you are printing and which house to target! It wants your location turned on to connect with the printer. And that can be hit or miss. Every corporate company is out to spy on you for the government, it seems. Gone are the days when it was truly plug n play 😂

Great for photos
Prints, scans and copies, has WIFI. Not the fastest printer I've owned but does print beautiful photos at A4 with the advantage of large ink tanks. The screen is a bit pants, it's small, black and white and has no back light. Not really an issue if you're printing from software but slightly annoying at this price, as is the fact that it doesn't come with a USB cable. I think you'll need USB-c to usb-b but check before you buy if you want to go that route. I bought it on offer and am very pleased with the photo output. Go to Permajet website and download their free profiles for the G650 and provided you're using a calibrated screen the colours will be accurate. Bottom line if you're using it to print photos, it's very good and the large capacity ink tanks should save you some money, if you want to print text their are probably faster and considerably cheaper options particularly if you use third party inks.

Our supplier has advised that the Canon PIXMA G650 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer is a photo printer but can print documents but is aimed towards someone who wants to print a lot of photos at a very high quality with a great range of colour. If the software has a print button then it will work.
