I bought this a couple of weeks before and it looks nice. Works well. The only thing which I didn't like is you have to see inside the kettle to see the max and min levels. There is no way to see it from outside. Other than that, its good.

Bought this to replace a very similar kettle which had served us well for 12 years. The replacement is just as good, easy to use straight from the box, easy to fill with wide opening. Handy level indicators for number of cups. Smart chrome finish. Overall it’s a great kettle!

Having checked the manual for the Russell Hobbs Stainless Steel Adventure Kettle 23911 it does advise to clean in the following way:
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the stand, and let the kettle cool before cleaning
2. Wipe all surfaces with a clean damp cloth.
3. Remove the lid.
4. Slide the filter up and out of the guides.
5. Rinse the filter under a running tap while brushing with a soft brush.
6. Slide the filter down, into the guides.
7. Refit the lid.
Descale regularly, (at least monthly).Descale the appliance with a proprietary descaler. Follow the instructions on the package of descaler.
Therefore we would not recommend using a lemon.
