I bought this kettle 2 weeks ago, the kettle base is wobblily and the lid not sealed as we pour water drip through the lid causing Hazzard I feel this kettle the kettle i bought is from a return item i.e a resale item by Argos

Good buy
I have been using this kettle for a while now and I find it very fast and reasonably quiet when boiling. The only problem I have with it is that it as not got a water gauge so without looking inside I do not know how much water is in there.

Basic kettle
Bought a few weeks ago, very basic. No light showing it’s actually switch on to boil and the lid needs to be pulled right off rather than flip open. I can’t see where it shows you the water level even though the description says it has one. Anyway it does the job ok. So the price is fine I wouldn’t pay more for it though

Efficient kettle
Bought this because my old kettle stopped switching off when it boiled filling the house with steam, so got this because Russel Hobbs is a well respected brand. I do like the fact it has a couple of markers inside to show one cup or two cups fill mark.

Great & healthy
This kettle is excellent and offers great value compared to similar products. It contains no fixed, potentially harmful plastic components; any movable plastic parts can be removed—though this should be done with care—resulting in a healthier kettle. As for the noise level, it hardly matters whether it is loud or quiet; in any case, you will be using it in the kitchen to boil the amount of water you need, and it gets the job done quickly—simple as that.

Not good if you have arthritis in your hands
It’s very noise and it’s difficult to get the lid when filling it . Wish I could have viewed the kettle before I bought it. I will replace it in time .

It is a fairly basic model which functions ok. It is a shame the lid is not attached and it can be tricky to remove it if you have just boiled the kettle.

Having checked the manual for the Russell Hobbs Stainless Steel Adventure Kettle 23911 it does advise to clean in the following way:
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the stand, and let the kettle cool before cleaning
2. Wipe all surfaces with a clean damp cloth.
3. Remove the lid.
4. Slide the filter up and out of the guides.
5. Rinse the filter under a running tap while brushing with a soft brush.
6. Slide the filter down, into the guides.
7. Refit the lid.
Descale regularly, (at least monthly).Descale the appliance with a proprietary descaler. Follow the instructions on the package of descaler.
Therefore we would not recommend using a lemon.
