Fast and reasonably quiet boil. functions well snd looks smart. The max line is inside and you can't see the mls from the outside and the lid may not be easy for someone with reduced dexterity.

Great kettle
Seco d one I've had in 11 years. Water so hard in our area, kettles don't usually last long. Always go for the same make, fast heating and not too heavy when full.

Frustrating
The kettle works fine the only problem with it is the max fill line is on the same side as handle so when you are filling the kettle you can’t see it and being disabled l have to put the kettle down to check it and then pick it up again and if ok put it on the electric plate very frustrating

+ well priced; + looks smart; - no window to see water level; - lid doesn’t pop up, it gets covered in condensation & you need to dry it to grip it. As always, you get what you pay for.

We bought this recently and it is ideal . It boils water very quickly and there's a space under the stand to keep the cord secure. It's very efficient.

Shiny steel kettle
replacement for same one i bought 10 years ago which has lasted well - almost the same but base more flimsy - old one was brushed stainless steel this one is shiny so now doesn't match my toaster

Having checked the manual for the Russell Hobbs Stainless Steel Adventure Kettle 23911 it does advise to clean in the following way:
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the stand, and let the kettle cool before cleaning
2. Wipe all surfaces with a clean damp cloth.
3. Remove the lid.
4. Slide the filter up and out of the guides.
5. Rinse the filter under a running tap while brushing with a soft brush.
6. Slide the filter down, into the guides.
7. Refit the lid.
Descale regularly, (at least monthly).Descale the appliance with a proprietary descaler. Follow the instructions on the package of descaler.
Therefore we would not recommend using a lemon.
