Inaccurate
I bought these scales to replace a digital one that had become hard to read but it's impossible to measure accurately as the divisions are too small. When baking a cake I had to resort to my digital scale to check the accuracy. I would not recommend them at all.

Replaced 20 year old scales
I brought this to replace my previous salter scales that lasted me 20 years. I have always looked after them and on the odd occasion one of my children dropped them i would test them with dome wright's to check they were working ok and always were. More recently the dog grabbed them off the side snd wouldnt give them back so we decided time for a new set. The new ones are the same style in that the bowl sits on top when not being used. The old ones have been put with the dogs food and treats as they are still ok but our dog thinks they are here's now so when she sees them she knows its dinner time.

Nice and simple
Have used this frequently since purchase. Very easy to use and no messing about with obscure size batteries running out. Takes up more space than my precious digital ones but I'll take that for not having to run out at 9pm for batteries in future

Salter Aquaweigh Mechanical Baking Scale Great scales for the price. Took a few moments to get the hang of how the sliding pointer works. Good size bowl and can be used for liquid ms too as tgere is a handy spout at end of bowl to pour.

I bought theSalter mechanical scales as a trial and have been surprised by the accuracy and ease of use. My previous use of electronic scales became too expensive as two batteries were half the price of the new scales.ALSO the mechanical scales do not switch off half way through a process.
