Perfect for baking!
Because the scale rotates, it's possible to re-zero after adding the first ingredient then add a second ingredient by weight and so on. Effectively doing the weighings in one go. Checked with a known 1Kg weight and it is very accurate. Highly recommended.

Great update to the Salter mechanical scale.
I bought this to replace a Salter mechanical scale that I’d owned for over 30 years. Sadly, its dial had become unattached. Although I’d replaced them with digital scales, I preferred the reliability of my older ones. No batteries to run out or be replaced. Although not as accurate as a digital reading, these provide me with all I need for general baking and cooking. I like the slim bowl accompanying them fits snugly on for storage.

So much easier to use when I'm baking with my grandchildren. The electronic type turns off whilst they are measuring ingredients. These grip well to my worktop. It is easy to find the marker for measuring start point and there are four options. A definite winner for my family baking days

To adjust the pointer to zero; slowly slide the tab on the front or side of the scale
to move the dial to zero.
