Great scale for display visibility
This was my second choice Salter scale based on cost. The first of a lower value was returned as it was a bit unstable/not accurate. Also the display was quite small and it was hard to see to select the different weighing options without lifting it close to the eyes. Whilst this scale has the same functions and weighs up to the same capacity it is so much better and well worth the extra cost. The base is bigger for your bowl, the digi display panel is bigger showing large numbers for both weight and also to see clearly the change between the different measurement types. Seems to default to kg on switch on but easy to flick the button to change to oz, fl oz, ml, etc. When switched on it sits stable with the scale display at required 0 to start your weighing. The tarre function is really helpful so everything can be measured in one bowl. Only used once to date and found it responsive and accurate. Came complete with 2 x AAA batteries easy to insert without need for a screw driver. Compact in size but big enough for purpose. Whrn not in use it will fit easily in a drawer. I'm keeping mine safe by leaving it in the box so it doesn't accidentally get switched on. Very impressed with my purchase. Hopefully i will get plenty of use out of it in the future.

This is a good set of scales and would recommend, unfortunately my shopping experience was spoilt a couple of weeks later by my nectar account being emptied of a significant amount of points. After looking at forums it seems that there is a large amount of fraud involving the use of nectar points and Argos. I’ve never had any trouble with my points until I shopped at Argos, and can only assume that there is a link between the two. Make sure that you lock your points BEFORE using your card at Argos This fraud is under investigation by nectar

Great set of scales, nice and compact but seems to do a good job. I particularly like that they take standard batteries - so no hassle when they need to replacing.

Great looking product and does everything I need it to. Quite compact which is good for me, but if you are doing larger recipes you might need something bigger. Word of warning, my housemate used a sponge only slightly harsh to clean it and scratched it. Will take it out of his deposit…

Well worth the small extra cost
Originally I purchased a cheaper Salter model - but this did not perform very well. Exchanged it for this and found it to be worth the little bit extra cost in terms of responsiveness, accuracy & repeatability.

Excellent. It takes the weight of a heavy, large mixing bowl and sets to zero. It’s rectangular shape, makes it easy to see the numbers clearly.

I bought the scales a week ago and am very pleased with them. The scales are easy to read and it’s a simple press of a button to switch between weights. Being small they store neatly. The 15 year guarantee is reassuring.
