Waterproof outdoor extension plug
Bought this a month ago. So far so good. No water leakage. Sturdy cable. I wonder how long the plastic will last in the UV outdoor light. There's a convenient way to mount the box on an external wall. I wish the cable was 10m rather than 8m. You can buy the components separately and maybe get it slightly cheaper but overall this is good value for money.

EV charging regulations require that any socket a Mode 2 charger will be plugged in to needs to be tested to more stringent requirements and marked BS1363-2/EV (sometimes shortened to BS1363/EV) or state on the front face "Suitable for Electric Vehicle Charging).
There are currently no known extension leads tested, certified and marked in this way, so _no_ you can't use this kit for the indicated purpose.

It depends what you're thinking may overheat, the extension lead supplied doesn't generate any heat during normal usage but items plugged into it (e.g. transformer style plugs) might so the sealed nature of the box might cause heat to build up in such cases.
