Coffee at your fingertips
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my new Ninja coffee machine for four days now, and I’ve been putting it through its paces! I have to say, I found the initial setup took me a little longer than my previous machine, the Ninja Café Luxe, which I found incredibly easy to set up. However, once I got going, I’ve really enjoyed trying out all the different functions. Over the last four days, I’ve made all sorts of coffees — lattes, espressos, cappuccinos, iced coffees, iced lattes… you name it, I’ve tried it! ☕️ One of the things I particularly like is the ability to make two coffees at the same time. This is brilliant when you have friends or family over, as you’re not standing there making one coffee after another. I also really like the flexibility of having different bean hoppers and being able to use either coffee beans or ground coffee. The Grind IQ cycle is another great feature. You can essentially log your favourite coffee and the machine remembers it, which makes it really easy to get the coffee you like again. In terms of the negatives, I do find this machine a little noisier than my previous Ninja Café Luxe. It also seems to take a little longer to make a coffee. However, when I think about everything the machine is actually doing for me, I can understand why. There’s a lot more going on inside the machine, so I think the extra noise and time are a reasonable trade-off for the convenience. I’m also going to be honest and say I prefer the look of my previous Ninja Café Luxe. This machine is bulkier and very heavy — although, again, that’s understandable considering how much more it does. In fact, it was so heavy that I had to wait for my friend’s husband to come and help me get it out of the box! 😂 Overall, though, I think the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. I love the choice of coffees, the ability to make two at once, the flexibility with beans and ground coffee, and the fact that it can remember your favourite settings. I’m going to continue using it and experimenting with all the different functions, but so far I’m really enjoying it — and I’m looking forward to making lots of delicious coffees for my friends and family! ☕️❤️

Excellent Coffee Machine!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as I began unpacking the machine, it was immediately apparent that it was a really well engineered piece of kit. A lot of thought has even been put into the packaging. The machine is quite heavy, so rather than opening the box and having to man-handle it out from the top, the outer cardboard box has a strip near the bottom that you tear off, enabling the entire top part to be lifted off, which gives easy access to the unit. The unit itself is also wrapped in a white material bag to avoid any scratches during transit. I was initially a bit overwhelmed at the number of different components and flaps etc. but another nice touch is the numerous stickers dotted around the machine telling you what the component is, and how to operate it, which makes life easier. Once you’re familiar with the machine, these stickers are easy to remove and leave no sticky residue. There’s a quick start guide which I’d definitely recommend reading. This has some QR codes on the front page that take you to short set-up videos that you can follow along with. From receiving the product, to creating my first Cappuccino took around an hour. This included unpacking, rinsing the components, testing my water hardness and performing the grinding calibration for my chosen beans. The only slight downside was that the grinding calibration seemed to take longer than it said in the manual and used quite a lot of beans. By the time I’d got my first drink, it had used around half the beans in the hopper, and the coffee ground bin was full. However, this is a one-time calibration for the type of beans, so unless you are constantly experimenting with different ones, it’s not much of an issue. It also comes with two hoppers, so you can have two different types of beans on the go at once, and the machine will save different grind settings for each hopper. I was pleased to find that the machine fit underneath my wall cupboards with just enough space to access the hopper on top. When thinking about placement, it’s worth noting that you do need access to both sides of the unit. The right side is where the water tank is located, so this needs frequent access. The left side only needs monthly opening to clean the internal components, so it could be pushed up to a wall on this side and pulled out as required. The finish and quality of the unit is top notch. Everything feels very solid and well manufactured. The drip tray is easy to remove and clean. It does fill up quickly due to the automatic rinsing, but it’s worth it to know that you’re drinking from a machine that’s being kept constantly clean, even on the inside where you can’t see. Another great feature is the in-built charcoal water filter that ensures the water is nice and clean. My previous coffee machine was a pod type and as you’d expect, the difference in quality is huge. Every type of coffee I’ve made so far has been perfect and the smell of freshly brewed coffee in the morning is amazing! There are lots of different presets for things like Cappuccino, Latte, Iced drinks etc. and it will also dispense just hot water if you wanted to make something like tea or hot chocolate. All off the presets can be easily adjusted to suit your tastes by varying the number of shots, strength of the brew and the type of foam. Overall, a great machine.

Very easy to use and excellent coffee
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this about a week now and am delighted with it. It took me about 15 minutes to set up and work out how to use it and is a doddle to use now. We currently have guests and after showing them how to use the machine once, they are making their own drinks so it is definitely user friendly. There are so many different coffees to make and it has been such fun trying them all. I have also used it to make frothy almond milks and to heat up milk for hot chocolates. I love how easy it is to switch the bean hoppers so we can alternate between caffeinated and decaf coffees. The coffee is excellent quality - better than most local cafés! It also very straightforward to maintain as there are clear prompts to empty the drip tray and add water, etc.

Amazing machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this as a promotion and when I first unpacked it I felt really nervous about using it, I had never used anything other than a basic coffee machine and wasn't sure where to start. Having unpacked it, I was surprised at how nicely it fitted into my kitchen, it doesn't take up the space that you imagine it will from the size of the box. I pick a medium premier roast beans to start with and after a day took out the instructions and followed each step. I really should not have felt nervous, the instructions were clear and easy, there are some good videos that help explain the set up and also ideas for each coffee. I started with a simple filter coffee, it says filter on the instructions but is the drip button, and that really is the only part that took me a few minutes to work out as I was looking for filter to press. Everything is automatic, you can adjust the cup size, strength and water heat. So far I have found my perfect strength for filter, made flat white, cappuccino. It has many useful settings that I haven't used yet but will, you can set a timer for a morning brew and 2 person favourite settings. I know I will use this a lot more than I first anticipated. Its a luxury item for my kitchen and I can imagine it being used in many small businesses. When I turn it on and the brewing starts my kitchen fills with the costa coffee aroma, the first brew taken slightly longer as it purges and heats but the second brew is quick. Having used it all week I really don't know why i felt nervous. Its a fantastic machine and my husband first reaction was we will never use it, I made him a coffee and he was very impressed and wanted more, converted after just one cup. I have only had one visitor but again she loved her cappuccino

Dream coffee machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am absolutely loving this coffee machine so far! It was super easy to put together, easy to clean, lots of different options in terms of grind, froth and coffee choices. The personalised coffee function makes everything so smooth and easy and the preheat milk function is great because it means your coffee and milk are the same temperature. Extraction of all the pieces is straight forward, super clean and efficient. Excited to use this every single day!

Dissapointed
I bought this machine to replace another automatic coffee machine that i have for more than 5 years. Quite bad choice, to be honest. Autobarista pro look great, promise great from presentation, but when you buy it find out is not that great. With same settings i had different quantity of extraction. And today i choose "lungo". Coffee beans we're grinded, machine make some noises as preparing coffee, but nothing in the glass. The puck was there, moist. Nothing in the tray. I said OK, let's try again. Second time was the same. Third time i choose americano and finally had some coffee in the morning. After wasting plenty of beans, twice, i managed to drink a coffee. I don't know what to think. Is final version of machine or is still beta testing? Thanks. I gave 2 stars for the look

Sadly not the machine I hoped for
This has to be the worst Ninja product I have ever bought and I have several. I am sad that the experience was so poor as overall the machine has great potential and I loved the simplicity of use and cleaning BUT 1 The grind IQ calibration system did not work as it should - I wasted around 150g of coffee every time grind IQ was requested by the machine and in the end this was being asked for nearly every day 2 the water tank is large but the drip tray is small and even though I placed a jug under to capture the purge water on start up and close down the drip tray needed emptying after only a couple of drinks and the water tank filling at the same frequency. 3 even after calibration the flow of coffee was so varied ranging from a nice consistent flow to a drip on the next use. I really hope Ninja find a way to fix these problems

Great at home coffee machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using pod machines for years and going to a bean to cup coffee machine, the difference is amazing. Making a coffee that tastes just like you have visited a coffee shop is so nice to have at home. Easy to use to make various coffees and easy to clean after use.

Easy as that
I had previously a different brand coffee machine, one you had to pull uour own shots, and I was the only one who made a drink as hubby tried and was not successful. Now, this machine is a game changer, I can sit back and hubby is making my favourite drinks. He is even trying some art with the froth. Ok, the machine is a bit on the pricey side, but we will safe on takeout coffees as both of us can operate the machine.

You can use hot milk with the AutoBarista, but for best froth quality, it's recommended to use cold milk straight from the fridge or at room temperature. The machine is designed to heat and froth the milk to your preferred temperature. Using pre-heated milk may affect froth results.
No, the AutoBarista Pro Automatic Espresso Machine "AE1051UK" does not include a thermal carafe. If you’re looking for a model with a shareable thermal carafe, the AutoBarista Pro Automatic Espresso Machine + Thermal Carafe "AE1052UK" would be the better option. The AutoBarista Pro Automatic Espresso Machine features a swappable hopper and larger reservoir, but the thermal carafe is exclusive to the AutoBarista Pro Automatic Espresso Machine + Thermal Carafe.
The AutoBarista makes it easy to enjoy more than just coffee. It also has a convenient hot water feature, perfect for preparing tea or other hot drinks. All you need to do is select the hot water option on the control panel, then choose the amount and temperature that suits your preference.
