Johnstone's Brilliant White Quick Dry Gloss is a high opacity paint for interior wood and metal surfaces, including skirting boards, doors, and staircases. Medium odour, water based formulation. Non-yellowing. Dry in 1-2 hours. Covers approx. 25m2 (per tin). For best results, prime surfaces with Johnstone's Quick Dry Primer Undercoat.

I have used this paint before and like how white it stays.It goes on easy with a brush or roller and dries super quick. It also washes out of equipment with water so no smelly white spirits. I purchased from Argos as it was cheaper than most other suppliers and was convenient to pick up

Fantastic gloss paint
Bought this good sized tin of brilliant white paint for freshening up home the gloss itself goes on very easily dries quickly and hopefully does not yellow but have found Johnstone's gloss to be very good it cover wood and metal very easily and application is quite thick

Great paint, does what it says on the can!
I have used Johnson's Paint many times over the years and it is a product I trust and find you can't go wrong with. It is not worth buying cheap paint better to buy a decent paint.

quick drying paint
Using Johnson quick drying white paint, i found it to be easy to apply though you have to move quicker as it dries fairly fast. The gloss finish is more than acceptable. Not as glossy as oil based. It seems to cover well and goes a long way. As for adhesion and yellowing time will tell. Overall happy with paint.

Good gloss
Brilliant gloss, covers well and great value. Dries quickly, covers yellowing well and sticks the little gaps together as a bonus! Stirred before using as seperates otherwise.

Not as good as dulux.
We brought this white gloss. It has a good name supposed to be non drip. But however on opening the paint it was very thin and it isn't non drip. It was ok on but we had to put on two layers Instead of one coat with our usual Dulux which is double the price. Its ok but think I'd rather pay more for a better paint

Quick drying
Nice shine and quick driying, a little bit thicker compare to dulux paints, take extra energy to move the burshes, also bruches get dry while in use. I am happy with the result, nice shie and good colour.

The supplier has advised for the Johnstone's Wood & Metal Gloss Paint - Brilliant White 2.5L: Any product labelled as gloss must achieve a sheen level of at least 90%.
In this case a satin finish would be more satisfactory. Satin finishes usually are within the region of 35% - 45% depending on the product.

This product can't be sprayed, as the Wood & Metal paint contains a high level of solvent.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Johnstone's Quick Dry Gloss Paint 2.5L: In order to paint over previously solvent coatings , you would have to following these steps:
Surface should be clean and abraded with fine sand paper , once dust free the use of a Quick drying primer /undercoat should be used .
once fully dry then the quick dry Gloss can be used . The Quick dry gloss cannot no go directly on to old solvent base paint with this preparations
