About this product
This set can hold up to 24 sweaters or 9 large pillows. Either vacuum out the air or roll it out when a vacuum is not available, using the specially designed one-way roll valve. Great for taking you on holiday to get more in your luggage. Made from multilayer laminate to prevent air leakage and improve resistance against tears. The bags are reusable and are widely recyclable when no longer required. Dual-use space-saving vacuum storage bags, compress flat and are ideal for storing under the bed, in drawers, on top of cupboards or in the attic.

It could be user error, but all the bags failed af
At first, the vacuum bags worked as expected and compressed down nicely, but over time they slowly lost suction and failed to stay sealed. While it’s possible this was down to user error, using vacuum bags isn’t exactly rocket science — seal the zip, remove the air, and they should hold. In this case, they just didn’t. The most likely issue seems to be with the seal or valve, as even the smallest leak lets air back in. Either way, it’s frustrating when you expect long-term storage and end up with bulky bags again. For me, the reliability just wasn’t there.

A vacuum cleaner would be perfect to draw out the air in the bag once sealed. That said, I get great results by just compressing the bag with my hands, it really reduces the space taken by bedclothes etc.

So, if you have a vacuum cleaner then that will be more effective but if not, then rolling the bags up helps to expel the air and creates a compact package.
