The Wi-Fi Camera is mains powered (corded electric). It does not use a battery and must be plugged into a standard indoor electrical socket or a weatherproof outdoor outlet using the included 9V DC power adapter.

TC43 needs to connect to 2.4G wifi on the router and set up on the Tapo App to work. It does not need a hub. There is no monthly charge for the camera if you have never subscribed to a Tapo Care service.

With the Notification feature configured on the Tapo app, you can decide whether to receive notifications on your phone. It is the text notification. If you subscription or SD card, the triggered events will be recorded in videos.

Here's a breakdown based on the different viewing scenarios:
Remote Viewing (outside your home network): Up to 6 different accounts can stream the live view simultaneously. If you're using the same account across multiple phones, there's no limit on the number of devices.
Local Viewing (on your home network): Up to 3 devices can stream the live feed at the same time. Note that connections via ONVIF or RTSP also count toward this 3-device limit.
SD Card Playback (remote or local): Only 1 account/device can access SD card recordings at a time through the Tapo app.
Additionally, shared accounts can access the camera's live view and SD card recordings, but they cannot access cloud recordings.

We generally do not recommend using extension cables to power cameras, and we suggest you install them according to the installation instructions, as this may affect their performance. The following points should be noted:
1. The material and length of the extension cable may cause the camera's voltage to drop below the required level, leading to abnormal camera behavior, such as automatic restarts or jamming during panning and tilting.
2. Using extension cables outdoors also increases the risk of lightning strike damage, which may void your product warranty.
3. If you must use an extension cable, please refer to the relevant specifications and purchase from https://static.tp-link.com/upload/product-ove... Consider using 22 AWG or thicker cable to minimize voltage drop and ensure the camera receives sufficient power. Also, ensure the extension cable has good waterproof and lightning protection properties.
