The rideon is powered by a foot accelerator, that activates two rear wheel drive motors with a 12 volt battery. It has both forward and reverse functions with a high and low speed setting. The vehicle also includes a separate 2.4GHZ remote control that can be used by the parent for additional fun and includes a F1 style steering wheel for role play fun! Excellent quality
Bought this car for our Grandson who is only 2, he absolutely loves it. The car is quality built and cannot fault it with the battery not even showing signs of going flat after several 50 minute runs and charged after every run. The remote control mode is excellent as is the little stereo inside it which once you’ve plugged a lead into it from your phone it seems to pick it up on Bluetooth.

I bought this car for my three-year-old daughter after she developed an interest in Formula 1 from watching races with me, and she absolutely loves it. It is a bit larger than I anticipated from the photos and video, but it looks the part and is unmistakably George Russell’s Mercedes F1 car. The aerodynamic parts are surprisingly sturdy, which is a big plus for a toddler car. It features working lights, has a start-up engine roar, and a locking chime for power-down, it also has a radio that plays little jingles and has a USB so I assume it could play music, but I haven’t actually tried that yet. Performance and battery life have both exceeded expectations. In high-speed mode, it comfortably matches an adult's walking pace, while the slow-start mode is ideal for building a toddler's confidence. Out of the box, it ran for well over an hour on its initial charge without quitting. I expected it would only run on tarmac but it seems to tackle most terrains effortlessly, it has driven over bumps, through grass, mud, and puddles without issue. The control system requires selecting either self-drive or remote mode; but note that in remote mode, the steering wheel remains active, so the child can influence the direction if they turn it and you don’t correct. At £135, id say it’s excellent value for money.
