I picked up the Alpha Sledge , blue one, about a month ago, just in time for some surprise snow days, and it's been a total winner for my daughter. She's been out on it every chance she gets, zooming down the local hills with huge grins and begging to go again and again. The fun factor is off the charts—she's had so much joy sliding around, and it's kept her entertained for hours during the cold weather.What really stands out is how strong and durable this thing is. It's made from that tough frost-resistant polyethylene (UK-made, which feels like good quality), and after a month of regular use—including a few rough tumbles, dragging it back up hills, and even some accidental scrapes on icy patches—it's holding up perfectly. No cracks, no warping, no signs of wear at all. It's lightweight enough for her to help carry or for me to pull with the rope, but sturdy enough that it feels safe and reliable even when she's going fast or sharing rides.The molded seat with handles gives her good control and makes it comfy for little ones (she's in the 3+ age range it recommends), and the pull rope is handy for getting it back up the slope without too much hassle. Well worth it for the cost
It hardly snows in the UK but for when it does £15 is well worth the money for the memories. After one use in shallow snow there are a lot of scratch marks on the under side (already nearly through) but if used in Dee snow I’m sure this would be fine.
