Bought this to store my caravan bedding and keep it dry and secure. The clip to seal the bag was more substantial than those I've used in the past so hopefully it will still be sealed securely after the winter!!

Don't Bother
Don't bother buying these bags, they both failed within a day of sealing. Very disappointed, waste of money. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Although this initially seemed to work well, it did not stay vacuum packed for very long and now just serves as a large expensive plastic bag. The thickness of the plastic also does not seem to be very strong.

NO of course they WILL NOT work for DVDs! Vacuum storage bags need the air sucked out, so the contents take up LESS SPACE to store away. You CANNOT suck any air out of DVDs! They are for storing soft items like soft toys, cushions, quilts, bedding, and clothes, though make sure no hard or sharp edges! As ANY slight nick in these bags will cause the vacuum not to work, they would gradually inflate, and no longer be useable as a vacuum storage bag. Argos reply clearly unaware of how these work.

Of course NOT! A single mattress is 3 feet x 6 feet 3 inches, ie 90cm x 190cm, and can have a depth of 30cm! This vacuum storage bag is only 74cm x 110cm. These vacuum storage bags are for storing soft items like soft toys, cushions, quilts, bedding, and clothes, that can be reduced in size for easier storage after the air is vacuumed out of the bag, NOT for storing a huge item of furniture! Hope this helps anyone else considering this question.

A single mattress would not fit in this storage bag, single mattress size is 90cm x 190cm, the storage bag is 74cm x 110cm.

NO, this is NOT suitable for a moses basket! Vacuum storage bags are for storing soft items like soft toys, cushions, quilts, bedding, and clothes, so you can reduce the amount of space they take up in storage, as you remove the air from them with a vacuum cleaner hose over the valve. This process squashes, or flattens the contents, so even if you could get a moses basket in it, which is doubtful, it would likely damage the basket AND the bag. Any slight nick in the bag can break the vacuum!

These bags are large enough to fit a King Size Duvet or a Double and 4 Pillows. These are the perfect size for storing away your bedding which resembles an inflated life raft before you vacuum it down to a smaller manageable size. They really are a "godsend".
