About this product
The Bissell CrossWave does something a bit different by vacuuming, washing and drying your floors all in one go. It's got proper suction to lift dirt and dust while the multi-surface brush roll scrubs at the same time, so you're getting a deeper clean without going over the same spot twice. It works across carpets, rugs, tiles, sealed wood, laminate, lino and vinyl, which means you're not switching machines depending on the room.
Digital fingertip controls let you switch between hard floors and carpets instantly, and you control exactly how much water gets released. The brush roll does the scrubbing without spreading dirty water back around, and there are separate tanks for clean and dirty water so you're always washing with fresh solution. It's corded with a decent length of reach, weighs just over 5kg, and has twin tanks for wet and dry pickup. Comes with a storage tray, multi-surface brush roll, and BISSELL multi-surface cleaning formula. It runs at around 80 decibels and has cord storage built in.

Great machine makes cleaning easier
Wow what can I say this really has been a godsend as I have mobility problems and being able to hoover wash and dry all from one machine is brilliant. There is a bit of weight to the machine but when starting to clean it feels quite light and smooth suction is powerful without being overly noisy. It removed little bits that had been dropped and stuck to floor ok having the little scrubbing things on roller was helpful. As I wasn't sure how much cleaning solution I would use i decided to start by using the smallest amount and this went surprisingly a long way didn't quite finish the ground floor but that was more down to getting used to the machine and keeping finger on the spray trigger instead of using it intermittently. My floors are lvt and I usually cleaned with a flat head mop and goodness I could certainly see the difference as the roller gets into the grove lines on the lvt where as the flat mop just washed over them. It hoovered and cleaned the mat i have in front of door quite well and it almost filled the dirty water tank. My tip would be clean the floors and leave door nat until last. The 2 buttons for switching from hard floor to rug could be a bit annoying at first as kept catching them so either switched to the opposite I wanted to use or turned the machine off but ok wince got used to them. Self cleaning the roller was a doddle and dismantling to clean all parts was simple to do i do advise getting extra rollers and filters as rollers do take 24 hours or over to dry and can't go back into machine until dry. The cleaning solution seems expensive but when you realise that a little goes a long way it looks like it will be good value and you don't have to stick to the same as what came with machine any thats suitable for multisurface cleaning especially crosswave is ok. One tip if you have dogs before using the machine just quickly give the floor a sweep or hoover first this really does cut down on fur clogging the dirty water tank and filter up. An alternative is the pet one which is more expensive. I forgot to mention the drying and this was good in most instances there was total dryness on my pull back when I had over used the solution if I pulled back at an angle bits of flooring didn't dry as well as when pullback is straight. Over all even though I have only used it the once so far I think its brilliant and it certainly saved my back. I would say for quick mop ups I would still use my flat head or even a cloth.

Why didn't I buy one sooner!
I had been looking for a floor cleaner for a while as although my floors looked clean I knew they weren't as I now find it hard to wash them on my hands and knees and have been using a mop. A friend's daughter recommended the bissell crosswave The cleaner is very easy to use and I could not believe the colour of the water. It was really dirty! I like how you can wash the floor and then not hold the trigger spray and go over it to dry it. My floors are now cleaned easily, efficiently and have never looked cleaner. I am delighted with it.

Great floor cleaner…it just works.
We have allot of porcelain tile down stairs plus rug coverings. We have an outdoor lifestyle so the home ground floor surfaces take quite a beating. This product has revolutionized the time it has taken to clean the floor both in terms of time and effect. We love it when we buy a product and it just works.

Crosswave
This is our 3rd Crosswise in 4.5 yrs - great machine for our woods floors Saying this, the flexable vacuum hose which is hidden , does split - hence why we have replaced so many machines - cheaper than Bissell repairing ,a replacement hose isn't available to purchase

Clean up in one go
I have owned one of these before. I purchased another as I know how handy it was, and now with two messy pets, this has made it so much easier to clean up spills and dry mess at the same time instead of using two different appliances.

Great results: a faff to clean and put away
Having owned this product for only a little while, I am offering my initial impressions. First, it appears well made, set up was simple and instructions were fine. I immediately gave it a try-out on my vinyl tiled kitchen floor which had been recently hand mopped. And the evidence was shockig: in 5 minutes it picked up more dissolved mud and general doggy gunge than I knew existed. Afterwards I was able to run a kitchen towel over treated areas without any discernible residue, a miracle in itself. So, I am sold on results. However, the jury is still out on how practical this will be in regular use. There is no doubt that clean up is a bit of a pain. It took more time to take apart clean and re assemble the thing than it did to clean the floor. And it leaked excess water puddles over the drying floor while waiting for my attention. I have had cleaning equipmet similar to this design in the past and my track record of tolerance for their hassle factor is not good. So although it did an impressive cleaning job I am deducting a star for its neediness: designers, please have a thought for hard pressed housekeepers. We don't have time to faff with components: make it easier.

Really deep clean.
I’m really pleased how easy this is to use. The dirty water proved that a mop and bucket just does not clean! Horrific haha. It’s a bit fiddly removing the brush bit and having to dry it etc, but unfortunately there doesn’t appear to be any stock to buy another one, which would be useful. The brand’s solution is very good, doesn’t smell other than ‘clean and fresh’ and seems to work well. I’ve used it on kitchen Lino and my non slip floor in the wetroom (which I was initially worried would shred the brush, but it was fine). Heavier than I expected and takes up quite a bit of floor space with its special tray so bear that in mind.
