Argos to the rescue
My review is not based on Argos not being in any way at fault. We ordered this divan set with a waiting time of about 25 days, when it was delivered on unpacking the the headboard it was found to have a missing button with the head broken off. That was the first thing , the second thing was when we unpacked the two bases one had a stain and the covering material was damaged. As these items had obviously been packed by silent night and been delivered to the Argos distribution depot, they must have been like it when sent to Argos. The overall quality of contruction of this bed resembles something that has no quality control at the factory. The material used to cover the underside of the two bases resembles something used to block weeds in your garden, it’s awful !!!. I contacted Argos customer service straight away and was impressed as I was offered a complete new delivery the next day which arrived as stated so in my opinion 10/10 for Argos and 3/10 for Silent Night

Beautiful looking divan bed frame
Whilst the bed is beautiful looking and exactly what I wanted. I was really disappointed that one of the storage draws was badly damaged. Unfortunately, on reading reviews I wasn't the first person to have had this issue. Argos did compensate me, but I would have preferred an undamaged delivery.

It’s a lovely bed, the wee legs are stylish and very good value for money with the headboard included. Only complaint is charged for delivery and it wasn’t delivered to the room as I would expect.

"The drawers are made from chipboard wrap and fibre board.
The maximum weight for the drawers is a standard 15kg."

The height from bottom of leg to bottom of base on the Silentnight Alaro 2 Drawer Double Divan & Headboard - Grey is 12cm.

The mattress is not included with the divan bed and headboard, so the height would depend on which mattress you choose to use on the base.
The height of the divan base only is 38cms.
