my second post box
I bought one 8 years ago, and am only changing it as it was damaged by a delivery. So easy to mount, secure and has managed all weather over the past 8 years, good value for money.

LETTERS SPRAY
Managed to put this up single handed which I was well chuffed about as it was level, looked very neat and the postman didn't knock it down. Bit too easy to peer in the top and tongs would be able to pull letters out very easily. When it got windy the lid flipped up and stayed up allowing a lot of rain to get inside. Have stuck weights underneath the lid now but will probably need a magnet as well. Not brilliant for the money. Also no way to indicate post in so daily check required.

Good letterbox
My old letterbox broke after many years and this seems to be an excellent replacement. It is solidly made and easy to fix to the wall. It is bigger than the previous one and the postman is pleased as the letters go in more easily.

Does the Job. Not the Best
Twelve years ago I moved house and fitted an external post box. I've moved again and needed another. The price of the replacement had doubled. I wasn't prepared to pay that much this time and bought this box instead. I regret the decision. The steel is much thinner particularly noticeable because the back flexes and doesn't feel fixed to the wall. The new house has old brickwork that crumbles. The supplied screws were not long enough to secure it to the wall. Not a huge problem, but enough to mean after several attempts to get it to stay on the wall the post box was a little scratched. With longer screws it is now securely fixed if a little floppy on the wall.

On checking I can see this is designed to be wall mounted but if the fence is secure enough this would be fine.
