I bought this to clean several mats and was delighted with the results . It was easy to use with the shampoo provided . I shall use it again once the winter is over . Only downside was I had to empty the dirty water a couple of times as the reservoir was not large but probably okay for normal use .

Works well with old Vax 2000
I needed to shampoo an old carpet in the large office of a house we purchased. In view of the amount of work involved I decided to use the Platinum solution. It certainly removed a lot of dirt and sand!. It did foam a lot in parts but I did use RO water so maybe it was that, or parts had been shampooed before and solution was left in the carpet..

Having checked, though the amount can vary a little according to the type of wash or size of water tank etc. it's usually only about 40ml that you'd need. You don't use the whole bottle.

Having checked, this can be used on upholstery. We'd always advise though that you check the instructions on the bottle and also the cleaning instructions for your upholstered item so as to confirm that it's OK to do so.

I WOULD EXPECT IT CAN BE USED IN ANY MACHINE ALTHOUGH I HAVE A VAX MACHINE.
Hello there, we would not recommend using this product on a mattress. The product has been confirmed as safe and usable on carpets but not mattresses - we would not be able to determine any risks to the mattress, so therefor recommend using it on a carpet as intended.

Hi, personally I wouldn’t use anything that wet on a mattress. The Vax cleaners deposit a lot of water.
The good thing is that if you decide to risk it, this cleaner doesn’t have a very strong smell.

Hi Nicola,
You need 40 ml of cleaning solution per full tank of water. It depends how many tanks you use per cleaning cycle, but it will last for approx 37 tanks of clean water.
