When weighing in lb:oz, the scale measures in 0.1oz, not in fractions, e.g. half ounces would show as 0.5oz, not as 1/4, and so on.

Not sure as my batteries have not run out yet. I bought this to replace an older model I'd had for many years which did have low battery function, so I assume this has the same.
