Sleek and stylish with great tasting coffee

I love my new coffee machine as it is not as bulky as alot of coffee machines out there and doesn't look like a sight for sore eyes on my worktop. It is sleek and stylish and the coffee tastes amazing. The parts do come off easily for cleaning and the refillable water tank is easy to remove. I love my built in milk frother! It did take me a while to get the hang of it but it's an absolute game changer for a hot drink.

Couldn’t imagine life without it

I’ve had the De’Longhi Classic espresso machine for a little while now and I’m really impressed with it. It looks lovely on the kitchen side and feels a lot more expensive than it actually is. It took me a couple of goes to get used to making the coffee properly, especially getting the grind and amount right, but once I got the hang of it the coffee has been really nice. It makes a good strong espresso and the milk frother works well too once you get used to it. I like that it feels a bit more like making a “proper” coffee rather than just pressing a button, but it’s still easy enough to use every day. It doesn’t take forever to heat up either, which is a bonus when you’re half asleep in the morning! Cleaning it is pretty straightforward and it doesn’t take up a ridiculous amount of space. For the price, I think it’s a really good machine if you want decent coffee at home without spending hundreds and hundreds of pounds. Would definitely recommend it, especially if you’re new to espresso machines like I was.

Amazing machine

The coffee machine is amazing. It’s very compact, easy to use. Steam wand is very useful for frothing milk and increasing temperature of coffee. Due to compact design it fits easily in a small kitchen.

Overall a good home coffee machine

Design: This coffee machine looks very good for the price. It has a stainless steel body and a pressure gauge on the front, which gives it a nice retro coffee shop look. It is also quite small, so it does not take up too much space on the kitchen counter. The drip tray can be adjusted for small espresso cups or taller latte glasses. The water tank is easy to remove and refill. The pressure gauge looks good, although it is not especially important for making coffee. Use: The machine is easy to use. It has buttons for single and double espresso, and you can change how much coffee comes out. It heats up very quickly, so you do not have to wait long before making a drink. You need to grind the coffee, put it into the filter and press it down yourself. This takes some practice, but it is good if you want to learn how to make espresso properly. The steam wand can be used to heat and froth milk for drinks such as cappuccinos and lattes. It works well once you get used to it. It is a good idea to rinse the machine several times before using it for the first time, as there can be a slight plastic smell at first. Quality: With good, freshly ground coffee beans, the machine can make a very good espresso with a nice layer of crema on top. The 15-bar pump gives fairly consistent results, and the machine stops automatically once it has poured the amount you selected. The double filter basket is quite small and holds around 14g of coffee, so it is better for normal-sized espresso rather than very strong or large modern espresso shots. The temperature may also take one or two coffees to become fully consistent.

Looks amazing but that’s about it!

Upon opening the box I was impressed with the look and quality of the product. However I would have liked a stainless steel jug to be included for heating/ frothing the milk. My excitement to try the machine soon turned to frustration as the instructions were confusing. There were no written instructions, only pictures. I eventually managed to make a latte but must add that the noise when heating up the milk was extremely loud! The machine looks good on the kitchen worktop but I will not be in a rush to use it again.

Great coffee without taking over the kitchen!

I’ve been really impressed with the De’Longhi Classic Espresso Coffee Machine. This is my first proper espresso machine, so I was expecting there to be a bit of a learning curve, but I found it surprisingly straightforward once I got used to the amount of coffee to use and how firmly to tamp it. The espresso comes out rich and full of flavour, with a really nice crema. The steam wand is another great feature and makes it easy to turn a normal coffee into a cappuccino, latte or flat white. It does take a little practice to get the milk just right but it’s actually quite enjoyable once you get the hang of it. It has a classic, stylish look and is compact enough that it doesn’t dominate the worktop. The water tank is easy to remove and refill and cleaning the machine is fairly simple too. I particularly like that the removable parts make it easy to keep everything clean. The only downside for me is that it’s not quite as quick or convenient as a pod machine, especially when making several coffees one after another, however, the improvement in the taste makes the extra effort worthwhile. Overall, I think this is a great choice if you want to make café-style coffee at home without spending a fortune or having a huge machine taking up your kitchen, I’d definitely recommend it.

Great machine fits neatly on kitchen worktop.

The size of the Delonghi Expresso Coffee machine is quite surprising, it isn't huge and sits very nicely on my worktop. I am still experimenting with grinding the coffee, and the different ways to create the perfect coffee - Expresso or Latte etc A milk jug would have been a great addition to the box but I treated myself to one and i purchased a grinder as you need ground coffee. It takes a small amount of time between heating milk and being able make the coffee but I guess the more I try ways of making the perfect coffee I will get used to how to make it - milk or coffee first. Looks great and as I said doesn't take a huge amount of space. Easy enough to use and so far no problems.

Great compact espresso machine

This is the perfect size and sits neatly on a worktop. It’s easy to keep clean and makes fantastic coffee. Make sure you take time to read the instructions and then with practice it becomes second nature when making the coffee. The frother does take practice especially if you have never used one before. It does not come with a jug so you’ll need to purchase one. I also bought 2 espresso cups as they are not supplied either. It comes with a double size or single size filter basket and you can choose single or double shot. The automatic creama just makes the coffee so much smoother. The spoon end is the tamper which works well. The dial on the side is used for when frothing the milk. The descaling is also automatic which makes things a lot easier. If you want a great espresso machine that is nice and compact and makes amazing coffee then I would definitely recommend this one.

The kitchen upgrade you need!

Easy and delicious coffee every time. Clear instructions for set up and operation. Makes a barista worthy coffee and has completely changed my morning routine. Nice compact machine that does not take up too much counter space.
