Who needs an SSD to back-up
I was looking at expensive SSD's for my back-up and went with this very reasonably priced Hard Disk. It is very fast and reliable.

Does the job
The drive does the job for a decent price. Its portable, reliable, the capacity is ideal for what I need. Transfer speeds are ok but nowhere as fast as more expensive SSD drives, and its easy to adjust for compatibility with Mac and PC's.

Method 1: Using the Notification Area Icon (Recommended)
Locate the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the notification area (system tray), typically at the bottom-right of your taskbar. It looks like a small USB plug icon. You may need to click the up arrow to show hidden icons.
Click the icon.
A menu will appear listing connected devices. Select "Eject Elements" or "Eject WD Elements SE" (the exact name may vary).
Wait for a notification that says, "Safe to Remove Hardware" or "Safe to Eject Media". Once you see this message, you can physically unplug the drive.
