Great wee hard drive
Great wee hard drive for storing all my important documents that I don’t want cluttering my laptop. Also allows me to update documents on any device.

Good value from Argos
Easily set up (formatted) for use as Time Machine backup for Macbook Pro. Good value and quick enough for the task required of it. Small and slips easily in laptop bag.

excellent product
Earlier this month I bought this hard drive and I'm really happy with it. I put practically the whole contents of my computer hard drive on it and it's hardly touched its capacity. Really pleased.

Picture perfect
Fed up of paying for cloud services and running out of space on my phone due to 1000s photos so backed up all photos and videos on this. Tonnes more space on my phone so don’t need anew one, saves my monthly costs on cloud services so super happy! I bought two. A back up of a back in case one fails which I’m sure it won’t, due to loads of photos. Great!

Fantastic for backing up photos
I bought this to use as a backup for my photos, rather than using various cloud services. It's much more secure and can be read and written to by my phone, laptop and PC.

Hello JJ
I can advise the following for: Western Digital Elements 2TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive.
To safely eject your Western Digital Elements 2TB Portable Hard Drive, you can use one of several methods depending on your operating system (Windows or macOS):
Method 1: Using the Notification Area Icon (Recommended)
Locate the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the notification area (system tray), typically at the bottom-right of your taskbar. It looks like a small USB plug icon. You may need to click the up arrow to show hidden icons.
Click the icon.
A menu will appear listing connected devices. Select "Eject Elements" or "Eject WD Elements SE" (the exact name may vary).
Wait for a notification that says, "Safe to Remove Hardware" or "Safe to Eject Media". Once you see this message, you can physically unplug the drive.

Hello Dania,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Western Digital Elements 2TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive: ''In theory, Yes the drive would work if there was a USB-A to USB-C adapter. The Drive should also be reformatted to exFAT or HFS+.''
Thank you for using Q and A.
Hello Danno,
I can advise the following for the Western Digital Elements 2TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive:
It can be used, but only for game storage.
Thanks for using Q & A.
Hello Car mad Dad,
The Western Digital Elements 2TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive cannot just be plugged into an iPhone as this drive default formatting is NTFS, which is read-only on iOS.
To write files (like photos) to it, you’ll need to reformat it to exFAT using a computer.
What you would need to use the drive on an iPhone SE 2nd Gen.
1. You would also need an Lightning to USB Camera Adapter (or Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter for better power support).
2. Powered USB Hub (optional but often necessary):
The WD Elements drive typically requires more power than the iPhone can provide directly.
A powered USB hub ensures the drive gets enough power to function properly.
3. iOS 13 or later:
Your iPhone SE2 supports external drives starting from iOS 13 via the Files app.
In the long run it maybe cheaper to purchase an apple recommended hard drive.
Thank you for using Q&A
