My desktop computer is over 10 years old and it holds thousands and thousands of pictures, documents and music Before I buy a new one, complete with new and updated software, I thought I had better save my files and folders to an external drive - both for security and so that, with a new computer, I can upload and save my files and documents quickly and safely on the new system. This HDD is much smaller in physical size than the old-style ones and it is from a respected maker, so it is likely to be reliable. It has a good capacity (2Tb) and has worked 'out of the box' as my desktop found it immediately. It works with usb3 - but I only have usb2, which it reads without any problems. It's download speed is obviously not as fast as a usb3 connection would give, but it's quite acceptable. I'm more than happy with this purchase.

Great little drive for extra storage or backup
Bought a few weeks ago but not for a PC backup but compatible for an old Panasonic DVD/Freeview recorder which has the ability to store extra storage on external drives. Transfers files easily without any problems and a good price for 2TB.

Having already purchased a Weston digital 4tb drive previous as required more storage 2tb drive purchased it s the confidence dealing with a known brand. . 4tb drive no problems straight forward connection Price was lower then I expected for a 2 tb drive

I recently purchased the Western Digital Elements 2TB Portable Hard Drive and I’m very pleased with it. I wanted something straightforward and reliable for backing up photos, videos, documents and other important files without having to rely entirely on my Icloud storage. Setup couldn’t have been easier – I simply connected it via USB and it was recognised straight away. File transfers using USB 3.0 are quick, and the 2TB capacity gives me plenty of storage without having to constantly worry about running out of space. The drive itself is compact, lightweight and feels well made, so it’s easy to store away or take with me when needed. It’s also powered directly through the USB connection, which means no additional power cables or adapters to worry about. For the price, I think it represents excellent value. You get a huge amount of storage from a well-known and trusted brand in a small, convenient package. Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase. If you’re looking for a simple, portable and dependable way of backing up your files, photos and videos, I’d definitely recommend the WD Elements 2TB….

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Western Digital Elements 2TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive: Each TV can be different, the HardDrive will connect to the USB port in the back of the TV, and will pop up in the USB Devices from the home page.
