About this product
The Vax Air Lift Steerable Pet Max is a multi-cyclonic upright that converts into a portable lift-out vacuum when you need to reach the stairs, car or tight spots around the house. It's designed for homes with pets, and the multi-cyclonic system means no loss of suction as the 1.5l dustbin fills up. At 6.9kg, it's not the lightest upright, but the steerable design helps you move easily around furniture and table legs without wrestling the whole thing around corners.
You get a motorised, adjustable floorhead that works across carpets, hard floors, stairs and upholstery, plus a proper set of pet-focused tools including a turbo brush and fur and fluff tool for stubborn hair, and a 3-in-1 dusting brush, crevice and upholstery attachment. The 10m power cord gives you decent reach, and the 1.65m hose stretches up to 2m for high shelves or awkward areas. The 1.5l dustbin is bagless and empties easily. It runs at around 80 decibels, which is typical for an upright.

Vax pet steerable
I too have bought 2 Vax steerable pet hoovers and many other Vax pet hoovers for my doggies glitter and both steerable ones have had issues where the handles have broken. I am now, after struggling for quite a while in the market for another pet hoover and although apart from the handles I cannot fault them. Do i buy again knowing this fault exists?

Bought this week and then recieved an email from Argos saying , you liked it , so why not buy it’s now cheaper 🙈 however love the hoover , great suction and like the lift away action for the stairs , once you get a grip of the swivel while steering it’s brilliant. Love a vax hoover over the Dyson

Product itself is fine, normal hoover. Frustrated that i bought it on boxing day sale and not even 2 days later it was listed not on sale for a cheaper price. Feels very scummy of argos to inflate prices like that and claim it's a sale.

I am so pleased with this vacuum cleaner. It has powerful suction which I need having 3 dogs that constantly moult. It is easy to use not too heavy and so easy to empty the contents. It also comes apart to make vacuuming the stairs easier. I would certainly recommend this vacuum cleaner particularly to anyone who has dogs.

Great auction but quite heavy.
This hoover has great suction for dog hair on the carpet so I’m really pleased with that, it is quite heavy and awkward to move around though. I really like the lift out feature to do stairs and cars etc.

Good for the price
Nice lightweight appliance but the plastic is rather brittle. Picks up well and is easily dismantled to give the pipes a good clean.

It should be fairly easy to empty the Vax Air Lift Steerable Max Pet Corded Upright Vacuum Cleaner, you just need to do the following:
1. Press the dirt container release buttons located the side of the carry handle.
2. Pull and remove the dirt container off the vacuum cleaner.
3. Hold the dirt container over a bin, press the dirt release button to open and allow the dirt to fall out.
