About this product
The Argos Home Butterfly dining table gives you a proper place to sit down together without taking over your floor space. It's a folding set with gate-leg ends that drop down when you're done, and four chairs that fold flat and slot inside the table itself. Set it up for family meals, then pack it away to open up your room again. The bright off-white finish fits in with most kitchen or living room styles. Seats four people comfortably when extended.
The wood effect table top sits on solid wood legs that keep things stable during use. Each chair has a solid wood frame and seat, supporting up to 130kg. The gate-leg mechanism extends the table using built-in hinges, no loose parts to store separately. The table top wipes clean with a soft cloth after meals. Supplied for self-assembly, two people recommended. Comes with a 3 year manufacturer's guarantee.

Not a bad little table
This table is not that bad, it’s so easy to put together, it’s very slimline and also large enough for our family when it’s fully open. The reason I’ve only given four stars is because of the chairs, they are sturdy enough, but are so uncomfortable, to the point you want to rush your food to leave the table.

The table is flat packed and the chairs were already assembled. I bought mine October last year but the chairs are different to the ones shown with it now, it was also a bit more expensive. I do not know if its changed but thats how my set came.

Having checked I can see there is no lock to hold the legs in place. The extension leg clicks into place so would not be easily kicked closed.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Butterfly Dining Table & 4 Chairs - Grey: Yes of course the chair is comfortable and if you want to add a cushion seat pad. The seat size width is 38cm and depth is 40cm.
