Was rather suspicious of quality and make as it did not have the name of the company Slumberdown on the duvet label.Contacted the company and customer service said all Slumberdown products should have the name written on the duvet label. As I needed the duvet went ahead and used it for my elderly relative.So actually do not know if a genuine product.

I just weighed mine and it is 1.76KG, not nearly 4KG.
The Argos staff probably weighed a bigger model not the single one. I will have to return mine tmr.

I don't know. But I'm 60yrs and find it easy to handle and make the bed. It is very, very warm.

"This single bed duvet should fit in the machine, it will however be a tight fit and depending on the spin function may overload"

Umm would not really like to advise on that as wouldn't want to risk your machine conking out. Probably best to take to Lauderette or maybe see if it goes in your machine drum easily without force then you may be able to judge it
The duvet will fit in a 8kg washing machine.
You would need to use a laundrette machine. Pretty sure it would fit into a standard machine, however, the weight when wet might be an issue.
