About this product
The Vax Dual Power Pet Advance is designed for homes with pets where carpets and upholstery need regular deep cleaning. It tackles embedded dirt and refreshes fibres while neutralising lingering pet odours, so your rooms feel properly fresh rather than just surface clean. At 800 air watts, it's got enough power to lift out the grime, and the rotating brush bar works the cleaning solution right into the carpet pile before extracting it along with the dirt.
The 2.7l clean water tank gives a good run before refilling, and the 1.5l dirty water tank shows what's been extracted. The 2.4m stretch hose and upholstery wash tool reach stairs, sofas and car seats without moving the machine. A pre-treatment wand and solution tackle stubborn spots before cleaning. The 8m power cord covers a wide area without switching sockets. Weighing 6.4kg, it has a carry handle for moving between floors and includes a storage bag, plus 250ml ultra pet solution and 250ml pre-treatment. Works on carpets and upholstery.

Bought this and it did a brilliant job of cleaning the carpet but then it just stopped working so we took it back and argos was great at giving us a full refund 😀 when I got home I read over 200 reviews and at least 8 had a problem with this carpet cleaner

Lightweight and easy to use. Smaller tanks so need to top up water more often same as empty tank with dirty water. Assembly was easy. After cleaning carpets it leaked through , just of what is left in pipes it leaked out.

The supplier has advised for the Vax Dual Power Pet Advance Upright Carpet Cleaner: The Dual Power Pet Advance comes with an accessory hose and tools to assist with cleaning upholstery and stairs etc.
The hose can be connected to the floorhead at the hose inlet and tools attached to the hose itself. Press the trigger on the hose to release the water and let go when pulling back the tool to suck as much moisture as possible from the surface being cleaned.

This is a carpet cleaner, not a standard vacuum cleaner.
It does suck up spills and is designed to refresh carpets and upholstery, but it's made for deep cleaning carpets and pet odours rather than everyday dry vacuuming.

While specific decibel figures are not always listed in the technical specifications, they are generally louder than standard vacuum cleaners, which usually range from 70 to 80 dB.
So slightly more noisy when on than other cleaners.

If using the on-board wash tool with the Vax Dual Power Pet Advance Upright Carpet Cleaner, this is suitable for cleaning upholstery, especially as a spot cleaner. You have to be more careful with mattresses, especially those containing memory foam as the foam may absorb excess moisture and be difficult to dry.
